Setlist scroll bug

When I do a set list that is reaching the end of the screen and has to scroll down. The metronome values glitch stack on top of each other which results in gibberish figures and impossible to read the numbers. After a while app suddenly quit when I was in the set list mode probably because of that bug. I really like your Metronome. I hope you fix this. I would like to use it all the time.

Response from developer

Hi, we haven’t seen this bug before, but will find it and resolve asap! If you have very big zoomed/enlarged text enabled on your phone then this could be the issue. Setlists display great on all our test devices. If you email us at info@rt60.co.uk it would be very useful to know what device and iOS version you are using, and we can then let you know when the issue is resolved. Thanks for feeding back and helping us make this improvement, glad you are liking the app otherwise!

Battery drain

I had to delete the app as it was draining up to 40% of my daily phone battery in the background if I forget to manually close the app. I also see no option to disable background activity.

Thanks for posting your review! 🙏

I Like It!

…and might rate it a 5 if they fix the bug where the tempo numbers overwrite themselves making them unreadable.

Response from developer

Hi Steveareno - we will fix that bug for sure! Could you email us details or a screenshot with what iPhone model are you using please (info@rt60.co.uk). We don’t have that problem on our test devices, so it will be an easy fix… thanks for posting your review!

Simplistic awesome metronome

Love the pitch change feature so the sound doesn't fatigue your ears

Thanks for your review, much appreciated! 🙏🙏🙏

Accurate and simple interface

Always looking for an improved metronome and this has some good features. I especially like the ability to customize the click and the sliding tempo adjustment that makes it easy to select a new BPM on the fly. If there was a way to run this in split view on the iPad it would be ideal for me as I'm using it live with a band and have some other apps that I would like to see at the same time. Otherwise thanks for the chance to try it out for free!

Thanks so much for posting your review. Great to hear! 🙏

Easy to use

A metronome. But a visually nice minimalist one.
All the settings you need: bpm, beat sound, in-between beat sound, emphasis on first beat. Possible to modify the sounds.
Different settings can be saved for later quick retrieval.
And intuitive to use.
From all the ones I tried out it’s my preferred.

That’s great to hear! Thanks so much for sharing your feedback!

Off-beat clicks

This is amazing and goes way beyond what anything else out there out there does. I like to practice with a displaced click, where I perceive the click not as being on the beat, but being on say, every third 16th note. With a regular metronome, I always find it hard making the mental adjustment to feel the pulse against that when starting to play, but with this device, you can have a regular count-in after which it plays a displaced click. One new device, one years-old problem solved!

Woaav

You can change the pitch of the metronome,, it’spretty coolio 🤘🏻

Best I’ve found - only one drawback

The options of this metronome are great. Changing the colour of the app, simple synthesizer like control of your preferred metronome sound (Pitch, duration, tonality), and the ability to make set lists are all great features. My only note would be that the sound doesn’t continue to play in the background if I switch apps to, for example, a photo or pdf of the piece of music I’m playing.

Not user friendly for set list performance

Bought this app to program song titles and associated BPM's for each song in a set list for performance.
Not a good application for this. After programming a 33 song set list, I found that when selecting a song I had to go to the metronome setting to have the metronome engaged but when going back to the set list it locks up not allowing me to select the next song to continue playing! Being the drummer in the band, I count off each song and need a set list that displays the metronome for each song and immediately allow for advancing to the next song. Unless I misunderstood the app, this is a big fail for me.

Hi there, the setlist feature should work 100% fine, select your set, then select the song you are playing, and then press the play button (which is a standard triangle shape pointing right). You’ll hear the preprogrammed click and see the metronome icon ticking away in time. At the end of the song, press stop (square button), select the next song and repeat - it works every time, so there’s no need to leave the setlists page at all during your show. The Atomic logo also doubles up as a play/stop button too. We’re committed to always improving the app so will continue to develop and see if any future improvements can be made, but the function you are asking for is already there within the app. If you email us asking for help we can easily send you some screenshots to help you find the right buttons to press.

Setting for background play?

Is there not a way for the metronome to keep playing when the app is running in the background or the screen is closed?

Response from developer

Hi there. Atomic is programmed to always override the iPhone’s auto-lock, so if you are using the app it will not get interrupted by the automatic Lock Screen (if you have it set). So you can practice knowing it won’t cut out at any time while you are using it.

Practical tool!

Great features for a metronome. Not quite a “drum machine.” Wish it had a few more “percussion sounds and a little more subdivision options. Nice graphic on main page and very quick manual tempo change function.

Best metronome

Accurate and amazing for practice! I particularly love the customisation options: programming in bespoke missing beats is invaluable for groove practice - my favourite new bass buddy!

Doesn’t work at all

The App opens, but when I hit the play bottom, nothing happens. I’d like a refund please.

Perfect build. Finally.

I have dreamt of a stable, easily navigable, and professionally competent metronome for years.

This is it. Aside from the color selection, which I find to be helpful for my eyes in low light studio atmosphere, it’s entirely streamlined without any unnecessary bells and whistles.

The menus for selection of time and division, as well as controlling for tone and sustain of sub counts in polyrhythm is thorough. It will be incredibly beneficial for exploring new playing to experiment with these settings when writing.

I would love to see this concept expanded into a common DAW compatible plug in. The mobile is everything it needs to be and then some, and this functionality inside Reaper or Pro Tools would be invaluable.

Brilliant app!

This is the most versatile and easy to use metronome app I’ve come across.

This app is AMAZING!! Review by @Jaydadrums

It’s one of the best metronome apps I’ve used. It’s so simple, easy to use and navigate but you can do so much with it! You can add odd time signatures, add beat divisions and add silent notes as rests. You can even change the sound of your click which is so awesome. There’s different tools and settings to customize it however you want and need. So simple but has everything you’ll ever need and want in a metronome. I’m a drummer myself and this metronome works great and will be so helpful to any other musicians out there. You can even colour customize it to your liking! It’s such an awesome app. My search for metronome apps is over!

Excellent metronome app!

Simple to use yet detailed enough to really help students understand compound and irregular time signatures. The choose your own colour option is a lovely bonus. I’m recommending this app to all my music students!

Such an amazing tool!

Very intuitive and easy to use. Great fun as well with all the creative settings!
