4.5 Stars - Works Like a Monitor

It basically does everything I want it to do. Probably a little better with an iPhone Pro Max, and I’m a little nervous to go to a new model because will it be supported? That’s the only reason why I didn’t score it a 5

Oh download Mavis Camera instead as that’s where this app is now.

Awesome but needs more features

Needs camera LOG and LUT support + EL zone asap ! Add NDI ,Camera control +Touch focus and everyone wants one ! Keep up the good work !!

Update 1.2 - 4K Enable

In this new update 4K has been enabled, great job, for HDR please give us more tone mode like PQ, or even Dolby Vision if possible, with more tone mode you could definitely advertise the Ninja Phone as a tool for HDR monitoring for video editing software, as I’m currently doing, this device has the potential to really take off, YouTube / @Lastminshoot-8K

4K…

Be aware: even though they announced it, the Atomos Ninja Phone still does not support 4K. And there is no information about when to expect the firmware update that they announced a few weeks ago. If you’re looking for 4K functionality, I would recommend not buying one until it is confirmed. Also, the app experince is not the best. For example, when trying to access the recorded videos, it defaults to the proxy version rather than what was actually recorded—you have to manually change this. The settings are also not particularly clear. And obviously, file sizes are huge because there doesn’t appear to be adequate control on compression or formats. I may return mine and just get a Blackmagic 5” 12G instead.

Dolby vision needed for HDR.

I’m using the iPhone 15 Pro Max, and while the iPhone is capable of Dolby vision, the proxy record is limited to HDR, no indication if it’s HDR10, HDR PQ, or 10+, also the proxy record output resolution is 1080p and not 4K as advertised on YouTube by the CEO.

Great app

Love this app. I’m streaming and recording 10-bit H.265 and it just works. So good
