App crashes on device add

The app is not usable. If you try to add a device, it crashes. This is on a fully updated iPhone 17 pro.

Read the instructions!

Great system and application. Most critical is that it is connected to a 2ghz network. If your router has a combined 5 and 2 ghz network, it will likely be unreliable. Get a cheap $20 router that has a dedicated 2ghz network and you’ll be set.

Read the Instructions!

If you’re having trouble connecting, read the instructions again, straight from the website. They have included some updates if you have a device that is a few years old. Make sure you have a router than can provide a dedicated 2ghz network.

It may be tricky getting it initially set up, but one it’s up, it is very reliable and controls incredibly well!

Works but could be great with a few simple additions

I love working with this app when I am grilling. There are two significant improvements that I would love to see.

First, there needs to be an IWatch app to go with this that would show the Pitt temp along with the food temperatures.

Second, there needs to be an option in the iPhone app that would allow you to save settings for particular menu items such as a saved Salmon setting, a Brisket setting, a Pulled Pork Setting, A Prime Rib setting, etc. I would like to see the ability to name and save 8-10 settings. With this feature, you could simply recall the item you are cooking and it would populate the Pitt temperature, the low and high warnings, the desired ending food temperatures. If it could also save the step programs as well, that would be great as well.

Both of these suggestions would seem reasonable upgrades that should not be that difficult to add.

Works perfect if set up correctly

If you get this set up correctly, it’s fantastic. It can be a little finicky. Make you have a router with a dedicated 2.4GHz network to connect your controller to or it will not work. Newer routers have automatic dual band functions that do not allow you to select 2.4 vs 5 GHz which will not work with this system. I bought a cheap refurbished router from Amazon with a dedicated 2.4 network and I’m at 100% reliability now.
