Hearing test
I like it better than others I tried
Nice app!
Two years ago, when I had hearing loss caused by an ear infection, I started searching the App Store for a simple app that would allow me to test my hearing and also work with voiceover, the technology built into all Apple devices that are used by those of us with vision impairments. I tried several abs before finding this one. The app has an easy to understand interface, and the best part, is not only accurate, but very accessible, even down to the results.

Accurate
I have profound hearing loss. Yesterday I woke up with even more of my hearing gone. Called my otolaryngologist’s office just now and they encouraged me to take the test and contact them again with the results. I am thinking this will give them a good measurement to determine if I should drive the two hours to their office.
Glad I had this Audicus test for a starting point for my conversation with my doctor.
Second day I used it since being on Prednisone. Gave me some objective numbers to back up my subjective observations. If there are inaccuracies I would say first day I wasn’t use to the app. On the second day any inaccuracies probably due to my inexperience with the headphones. But I still contend it is a rather accurate app.
Third day of use. I feel my hearing is worse than it is evaluating it, especially in the left ear. Will keep using it and emailing results to my doctor b/c the only objective app I have found. Thank you

Easy, accurate and works with Bluetooth headsets
Love the simplicity of this app. Tested my hearing in a few minutes, got me easy to understand results and direction. Works with any headset, including Bluetooth. Highly recommend it vs. all the other hearing apps out there.
Thanks
I very much appreciated the information. I am still not ready to get a full-blown test at an audiologist, and I can’t afford a high priced hearing aid. There are several OTC devices available that I am sure will give me the hearing help I need right now. This test gets me going on finding a solution.

Easy to use
Very simple interface. I did not experience the. Problems reported by others regarding background noises, though my house was quiet at the time of testing.
Mixed review
I liked the simplicity of the user interface and the progress indicator. The pop-ups every time there is a background noise are annoying. I recommend disabling this feature until the test actually starts, so that the directions can be read to a young child.
Results were suspiciously inconsistent between frequency ranges. I have not yet assessed the repeatability of the test.

Like it!
This test was very easy to use. I am going to compare results from a few apps just to verify . Nice app!
The go to app when you're worried about your hearing
I've been low key worrying about my ears for a while, but according to this, my ears seem to be working just fine. It's a far better test than I've seen any doctor give.
Works great
Seems to work very well. I like the way it test your environment for sound while running.
Works perfectly
Use quality earphones/buds with a mic and it'll perform as designed.
Apps that matter
I'm not sure if it closely mirrors an audiologist's test, but it suggested I I might want to seek the service of an expert. Elegant app and crystal clear about instructions.
Must Live in a Bunker 100 ft Underground
The app is simple to use; for it's user interface, it's a 5* product. You must understandably have earphones. The test is simple enough, just like the test at an ENT. Here's the problem - it is extraordinarily sensitive to sound. Its degree of sensitivity is so high that it borders insanity. In my room at the backend of the house, with no fan, no running electronics, and no noise, the system repeatedly indicated that I need to move to a quieter area. I had to sit in my car at night with the doors closed and the car off to take the test, and even then it periodically interrupted the test to tell me to move to a quieter area. I would then have to just sit there and wait for the system to realize there is no noise, then click dismiss, and continue the test. Unless you live 100 ft down in an underground bunker with 20 ft of noise canceling insulation, then this app is ridiculous. I don't recommend it at all.
