What's New in Audiofile Calc

4.3

June 11, 2026

Two new calculators — one for everyone, one for Calc Pro. New in this release: – dB Converter (free) — turn any decibel value into its voltage (amplitude) and power ratios. The perfect companion to Compare Power and Compare Voltage, which go the other direction – Varispeed (Calc Pro) — the pitch shift BPM calculator you asked for. Enter a source and target tempo and get the pitch shift in semitones, sampler-ready semitones + cents, and the speed change percentage for tape-style and sampler speed changes Calc Pro keeps growing — one purchase, every new pro calculator included.

Great app

I (try) to make music. Mostly sample based, "boom bap" hip hop type stuff.

While I (try) to make the music based on the feel, vibe, and "using my ear"; my more math oriented/logic brain often trumps the other.

So this is a great app that I use quite a bit, when that part of my brain is winning over the other. In certain situations.

Would looove to see a "pitch shift bpm loop calculator" feature added though.

What I mean by that is a calculator that solves for X. Where X would be the number of semitones a loop of 100 bpm needs to be shifted, to make the loop 110 bpm instead. As an example. Or vice versa, etc etc...

Response from developer

Varispeed is coming in Calc 4.3 — built from this exact request. Thanks for the idea.

Really useful app

Instantly helped me trouble shoot a problem.

A couple of the parameters are the bottom of the screen can’t be adjusted easily because of a UX issue but otherwise fantastic

Response from developer

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts! Cheers!

Incredibly useful! Now compatible with the current iOS. Get it!

This app is fantastic. Absolutely indispensable. Thank you so much for a wonderful app!!

Response from developer

should be good now, enjoy!

File Size calculation is wrong

Calculations with 32-bit depth are wrong.

Response from developer

Thanks Ev! This is resolved in 3.7.1. Cheers.

Great app

I’ve had it in the past on previous devices. It comes in handy more than I thought.
But the numeric input is not functional in this version on my iPhone X.
