About

Only two taps. The shortest way to pull just the audio out of a video. You recorded a meeting, a lecture, a recital. What you actually want to keep is the sound - but the video file is huge, and every editing app greets you with settings you never asked for. This app does that one job and nothing else. HOW IT WORKS 1. Tap "Choose Video" and pick a video from your photo library 2. Extraction starts the moment you pick it. There is no button to press 3. Play, save, or share the audio right there No format menus. No timeline. Two taps from opening the app to a generated audio. GREAT FOR - Turning recorded meetings and lectures into audio you can listen to on the go - Preparing an audio file for a transcription service - Keeping the voices and music from videos that matter to you - Sending someone the sound without sending a huge video PRIVATE BY DESIGN - Your video is processed entirely on this iPhone. Nothing is uploaded - The app contains no networking code at all, and no advertising or analytics SDKs - No account, no sign-in PRICING - One-time purchase. No in-app purchases and no subscriptions - No ads FEATURES - Works with videos from Photos and the Files app - Saves audio as M4A (AAC) - Built-in player so you can hear the result before you save it - Save to Files, or send it through the share sheet - English and Japanese, switchable inside the app - Readable at the largest text sizes; VoiceOver supported WHAT IT DOES NOT DO This app extracts audio from video. That is all it does. - No trimming and no audio editing - No output formats other than M4A (no MP3) - It cannot remove the sound from a video REQUIREMENTS iPhone only, iOS 17.0 or later

What's New in AudioPeel

1.0.2

July 30, 2026

GETTING TO YOUR AUDIO NOW TAKES 2 TAPS - The "where would you like to choose from?" dialog is gone. "Choose Video" opens your photo library directly - If your video lives in the Files app, use "Choose from Files" on the home screen - The video info screen is gone. Picking a video starts the extraction right away YOU CAN STOP IT NOW - The extracting screen shows the name of the file being worked on - "Cancel" stops it, and stopping is no longer treated as an error SAVING IS FIXED - Fixed: closing the save sheet without saving reported "Couldn't save the file" - A successful save now appears under the button instead of in an alert, so there is one less tap CLEARER MESSAGES WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG - Headings now say what happened - "This video has no audio" - instead of "Error" - "Choose a Different Video" takes you straight back to picking one - Videos with no audio track are caught before extraction starts READABILITY - Button labels stay readable at the largest text sizes - VoiceOver now announces progress and completion ALSO - The Terms of Use and Privacy Policy were rewritten to match how the app actually works
