It might be free but that’s for a reason!
I downloaded this off the back of a neighbourhood watch newsletter thinking it was something they had at least tested if not endorsed. I have elderly parents and thought it would be useful for them to be able to summon help easily.
Firstly the App doesn’t allow UK mobile numbers either as +44…… or 07….. it would appear it only accepts 9 digits! I thought ok, it’s free, maybe that’s a hitch that can be sorted. So I added my email address and set the app to email when assistance is sought. Changed various settings because it kept throwing error messages. Eventually I thought it was working. Unfortunately, all it does now is crash when any type of assistance is taught. It doesn’t send an alert, and the user gets no feedback that a request for assistance has been sent.
Either I’m doing something fundamentally wrong or this isn’t fit for purpose.
Come on NHW, surely you should be trying the apps that you are suggesting!

Really useful app for visually impaired people
Great app for visually impaired and even great for dementia sufferers as so simple to use with its large icons.
Simply get help to set it all up in the first place and you're away.
However its USA centric in that it will not let you input non USA phone numbers. Even though a recent update allows international format numbers it only allows USA international prefix of +1 We users in the UK can't add our international prefix of +44. Kinda negates the benefit of international format somewhat.
Pity as looks a lovely useful app which I did try out with just email addresses and a non functional 10 digit number here in the UK.
