I’ve had this app for probably eight years, but to be honest I’ve been getting more into it more in the last six months. Once I started to figure out a workflow to allow me to jam and then record those 4 and 8 bar jams in AUM and then being able to take those recordings and sequence them in BeatMaker 3 to finish a track. Perfect combo.

Doesn't work
Audio nor midi transmit through USB on any Roland Aira units, nor the TE OP1-Field
MIDI CLOCK IN IS ESSENTIAL
Great app, but overlooking MIDI clock is outrageous for such an app in this day and age. Dear dev, I understand your technical concerns but clock stability at the source is responsibility of the user, not yours. Let us users choose the sync method that best suits us. For those of us with no Ableton stuff, MIDI clock input is an essential feature.

Just needs midi clock in so I can use it with hardware and it would be perfect.

Dangerously good live mixer and general AUv3 host
Already good at live mixing and creating a windowed experience for your music apps that support it. It can become a full DAW with Koala Sampler and other AUv3 synths. It’s a bigger investment than it initially seems to fully enjoy but I have no regrets and fully recommend the app.

Footswitch control
Why can’t I do something as basic as switching between four channels in AUM with an external MIDI footswitch? Mute and Solo features in each channel only seem to be toggles. Zero option to solo a channel like you would on any guitar multi-fx pedal where one button press gets you to that channel and ignores the others. I am trying to use this in a guitar context with four channels on screen with different FX and whatnot. You don’t want multiple channels playing at the same time. But in AUm either via touch or via footswitch, you can’t do this without multiple taps. Please tell me if ai am missing something and I will update my review. Otherwise, there’s a ton of functionality here in AUM.

AUM is amazing I use it everyday and I can’t say enough good things about it and I would love to give it 5 stars but it won’t sync to an external clock

Love this app. Would love it MORE if it could accept midi clock input instead of only providing clock.
