User reviews

Spacing is an issue

I love that you have the option not to use digraphs. This is the app I’ve been looking for. However, the character spacing is super tight, making the results less usable outside of the app, say if you were trying to make a print.

Random person’s review/request

Big feature is missing here (very big feature) you can’t copy/paste text!! So annoying why make an app like this if it’s not going to have a copy/paste feature 3/10 would not recommend

Response from developer

Hello there, Thank you for your feedback, and I’m really sorry to hear you were frustrated. I completely understand how useful a copy/paste feature would be, and I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Just to clarify, the Aurebesh text in the app is actually rendered using a custom English font style, it’s still regular English characters underneath. Unfortunately, iOS does not allow custom fonts like Aurebesh to be copied and pasted between apps. The system automatically reverts the text back to the standard English font for security, consistency, and readability reasons. This is a limitation on Apple’s side and not something I can currently change, though I truly wish I could. It would be really cool to be able to share Aurebesh text but unfortunately Apple doesn’t allow it. While I know that may be disappointing, I do hope the app was still helpful overall. Since this is a free app I built with love for amazing Star Wars fans like you, I would really appreciate it if you’d consider updating your review. Your support makes a big difference and helps me keep improving the experience for everyone. If you have any other questions or suggestions, feel free to reach out anytime at ammelmallah@icloud.com, I’d be happy to hear from you! Wishing you a great day ahead, Abubakr Elmallah

Easy and simple to use

Only function missing is ability to copy text out of Aurebesh field once written in translator

Response from developer

Hi TX Red Sox fan, Thank you so much for the kind review! I really appreciate your support and feedback, it means a lot to me! Just to clarify, in the app Aurebesh is actually just a different font style, not a separate language so because of this, iOS doesn’t allow custom fonts like Aurebesh to be copied and pasted between apps. When you try to copy it, the system automatically converts it back to regular English letters with the default system font to keep things consistent across the device (plus security reasons). Unfortunately, this is a limitation from Apple and not something I can control at the moment. That said, I completely understand how helpful that feature would be, and I truly appreciate you pointing it out. If you’re ever interested in sharing translations as images, the paid version of the app (Datapad | Aurebesh Translator) does support that through its built-in image sharing feature. If you have any more questions, suggestions, or ideas, please feel free to email me at ammelmallah@icloud.com, I’d love to hear from you! Thanks again, and I hope you have a wonderful day! Warm regards, Abubakr Elmallah
