Best Prospecting App
Really useful app for prospecting in Australia. I especially appreciate the privacy settings and the amount of data available. The tracking feature is excellent, without it, I probably would have gotten lost 100 times already! There’s still some room for improvement: the overall design and interface could really use a fresh, modern update. I’d also love to see an option to easily show/hide trails on the map. Overall, a great and very useful app for anyone out prospecting!

Great app - ‘contact us’ currently not working
Great app. As a geo I have an ungodly amount of screen time using this app and love it; can’t really fault it on anything I use it for. Recently bought a subscription to the VIC gold part for some prospecting but it’s not obvious what the green and orange areas on the map mean as a first time prospector. It would be handy if I could click on the area and it has a name and what you can do there i.e. can you prospect here, like the little coloured occurrences do on the resources database. Tried to use the contact us page on the website but currently not working for me, not sure if this is just a me problem or not.

Sorry for the late reply. I don't get alerts from Apple with this system. The 'Contact us' was out for a while - is fine now. The polygons with the gold map are mining leases and retention leases. Download the appropriate VIC data layer to get all the details.
App not working
Pete The trilobite app when recording starts just randomly recording when stationary I have been trying to sort this out for a week Deleted the app and reinstalled it in that process list all the history , its still doing the same thing Tried to connect the developer but is uncontactable by email no phone number and could find any YouTube videos.

Great app but needs 3d view would change the game hugely !

Life saver
This app is so useful for prospecting. Being able to mark out locations we can map out our boundary lines, make sure we don’t cross into areas we aren’t allowed to go, mark locations of where we found the gold and most importantly mark the camp location and be able to track our route and prospect in the outback without worrying about getting lost !!

Best Geology App Ever
I used to be a normal human woman until I downloaded this app. Now I’ve turned into a huge nerd and torment my friends, family and peers daily with geology. This app has helped me explore for commodities and helped my contextual understanding of Australian geology so much.
I’ve given 5 stars beca the creator absolutely deserves it. I’d give 6 stars if gravity maps were available also.

Highly recommend for any geology or rock hunting enthusiast. It’s a game changer and can save days of hard to find online research.

Why is it trying to force me to get WA maps I’m in Victoria
When I fist go the app there was no 1 week trial I also got the vic gold map because that is where I am and can’t even run it because All th app wants me to do is buy the WA map too I don’t live or am I going to WA so why would I need that map and even if I do get that map is it just going to want me to buy another before it will even let me start using the app? Otherwise just sell the app for the price you want so u can actually use it.

We can't process support calls using the review system. By the way, ALL subscriptions have a 1-week trial. If you aren't offered a trial, that means you have some time in the past already run a trial for that subscription - you only get ONE free trial.

Wish these tools were around 20 years ago when we were all using multiple tools in the field to do fieldwork. Hard copy printed maps with grid overlays, topo maps, some in wgs84, some in other grids, matching up by adding 160m east etc etc gps, note pad, batteries, spare batteries, laptop, spare battery for laptop etc. Then pulling it all together when you got back to the office/home hoping you hadn’t lost a note page or got water on your note pad and you hadn’t made an error on coords or confused the utm grid. For a Fieldy that’s been around, I really appreciate the effort on the app and the information provided in the associated guide. It’s also very cheap. Not sure what else reviewers expect from an app like this? Suits me out bush.

OutBackMac in WA. Using this App Currently & it works great. Very helpful on new & old tracks. Would be easier if I could display on Vehicle Screen (Car Play) while bumpy driving down tracks. Cheers TJ in WA

Been working fine up until recent update, crashes when saving pin drops. Not the best time for issues given it’s the start of the WA prospecting season.

A must have
I’m aRelatively new player in the gold prospecting field, and if anyone needs the upper hand than this app is the way to go and after seeing the problems last week and thankfully it is now been rectified. There is a lot of people who rely on this app for their gold prospecting adventures as do I. Thank you , keep up the good work.

The app has been down for some time however a bug fix update has come and everything seems okay I have increased my rating and recommended the app when it is working
App buggy keeps closing
Trying to use app, when I open the app it instantly closes and I am unable to use it at all. Deleted and reinstalled app, started working as intended. Re-downloaded WA tenements map which I had paid $17.95 for and the problem started again.
