Waste of time
Wasted 20mins of my life to this app trying to scan a shield that just refused to be scanned because of “insufficient light”. Tried multiple lighting scenarios, nothing. Total waste of time. I’m more convinced the app isn’t genuine than my product I was trying to verify. 0 stars if it could give it.

Simple and secure
This app is extremely simple to use (and fast a second at best). If you research the company this is authentication not just verification and when I used it to scan a product the app opened to an additional website. Brilliant!

Useful app to check authenticity of your purchase. I used it for tellurium q cables and the app was able to verify instantly.
Underwhelming! (A few notes to the developers)
The app basically confirms an item is authentic based on the hologram and sticker attached to a product but does not include any additional information when doing so. No link to a website. No dates the item was made. Nada. Just a full, take our word for it pop up.. Big head scratcher for me. Who even knows who this company is that’s doing the verification process??
My suggestion to CheckIfReal is to layer in more information both after installation of the app as well as on each use.
Personally it would be helpful to outline the how and why to even use this app in the first place.
Then when you scan, please provide at least a basic link to that manufacturer website or something more helpful than just a “verified!” notification. My preference would be to know what year and month the product was made. I used this for a Sophie the Giraffe for our newborn and as these are made from natural rubber and Internet as a teething toy, knowing it’s not extremely old would be helpful information to me as a parent.
Given the amount of counterfeit products flooding online shopping I love that this verification process exists! Kudos!
