Tax on Convenience, Not a Service Anymore
This used to be a useful tool. Now it’s just a greedy cash grab.
I’ve been in the luxury resale business for over 25 years. I only need authentication for actual bags and luggage — not every month, not constantly.
Entrupy decided to force everyone into a $139/month subscription just to use the app on your own phone. You pay that minimum every single month even if you don’t authenticate a single item. That’s not a service anymore — that’s a tax on convenience.
The new “lens-free” update sounds nice until you realize they’re charging you a premium subscription to do what should be a simple pay-per-use scan with your own device. Before you even get to authenticate anything, they’ve already taken your money for the month.
I hate feeding another company only for them to become big and bite our hands.
With how many resellers they claim to have worldwide, it’s embarrassing they only have a handful of reviews. Probably because most people are too frustrated to bother writing one.
If you only authenticate a few pieces a month like me, this model is a complete rip-off. Greed is their downfall just like any greedy corporations.
I’ll be canceling after these last few bags. ☠️
