The only mechanic available cancels on me at the last second after waiting all day to accept the job
Uninstalled and do not recommend to anyone. Why advertise mobile mechanics for same day service when you need them? I can't drive my vehicle home tonight. That was the whole point of getting a Mobile mechanic today and scheduling it so early in the morning. Instead of having literally anyone else available to come to me, I now have to call an Uber and a row truck to take it to a shop instead of having it fixed today because of the "mechanics" you allow on your site.
Thanks for costing me 3x the money. Will never use this service again.

Battery replacement
We were stranded at Auto Zone when attempting to swap out an old battery, luckily Auto Monkey came to the rescue. The app is very easy to use and allows easy communication with the mechanic and detailed reports about the work done. Thank you for helping us out!!
Promising concept, not usable
Was excited to hear about an app to streamline hiring mobile mechanics. Unfortunately the UI doesn't work and I had to close + reopen the app multiple times to perform basic tasks like opting out of emails (graying out the email button to prevent new users from signing up unless they opt-in to spam emails gives a very bad first impression of a small unknown company btw). The app failed completely when trying to enter my car, the boxes to enter make and model had nothing in them and I was unable to continue with just the plate. Device is iPhone 13 Mini running iOS 18.4.1.

Got a estimate then canceled
Got an estimate, paid it, then the app cancelled it because no mechanic is available. Now I need to make sure the money gets charged back. Don’t waste your time with this app.

Please be aware before you sign up , read their policy carefully. They said, they’ll charge you once the job is done, but that’s not the case , after putting your card informations, they’ll charge you at the same time with different prices higher than what they said on their website. That’s the reason you can’t use epay because Apple Pay won’t allow them to scam.

I have dealt with independent shops and dealerships I feel dealing with auto monkey is the route to go because they come to you it’s simple when it comes to repair and diagnostic you don’t have to worry about having your vehicle that is commercial or fleet towed to repair shop the shop comes to you, I recommend giving auto monkey a test run because there more pros than cons that work in your favorite that can have your vehicle back on the road !!

My mechanic did an outstanding job! He was on time and efficient! Communication was great! He was respectful and knowledge and I'll request him by name for any future repairs!
Totally Worth It
I’ve used this app’s service a couple times to get things done on my car that I simply didn’t have time to do myself. The mechanics were always on time and very friendly. A great service and far less expensive and more convenient than going to the local shop.

Ignore bad reviews
I had no issues booking service. The reviewers saying “fraud” simply didn’t follow instructions. You put in your car details and your address as well as the repair request. It gets submitted and you wait for an estimate. Sometimes it’s a few minutes…sometimes longer. I have used them twice.
You don’t have to put in a payment method or credit card until you accept the repair estimate. Then they place a hold on your card. If you cancel or the work isn’t completed the hold is removed. Once you accept the estimate you wait for the mechanic(s) to get in touch with you. It’s not an instant process but the savings were substantial for me and worth it. Still faster, easier, and less expensive than dropping my car off at the mechanic for the day and arranging transportation to/from home or work.

Auto monkey is the best app for mechanics and consumers, hands down. They only employ professionals and are devoted to customer satisfaction.
Fraud
There were supposed be 2 mechanics in my area. I submitted my repair request. When I went to check the app said there was no request. Two additional requests also mysteriously vanished. Don't enter your credit card number. This app is a fraud.

They are so horrible whoever is trying to make this app better or make it work definitely need to communicate because u have to pay for nobody to even come out to ur house or attemp to call left pending after I paid I recommend u not to use this app at all just take ur services elsewhere
Disappointment
Tried the App, requested first repair but was told I need request a diagnostic first, so request for a diagnostic was made and left as pending. After calling for an update, was left again waiting for an answer. Eventually I was told that the mechanic decided that I was too far to drive despite being in his area. A wasted 7 days for the repairs to not be made with 0 attempts from the company to communicate.
