AV-CapCheck

AV-CapCheck verifies the authenticity of molded plastic caps. By filming the top of a cap with the back camera of an iPhone, AV-CapCheck can determine if its surface bears the imprint of a specific mold stored in the app. If this fingerprint matching returns a positive result, AV-CapCheck reports the cap as genuine.
