So far
So far, it is a good system. It’s better than the Free system. I was using. Maybe more stars when I learn more.
Great free alternative to expensive apps
Overall, this is a great app for people on a budget or for a new pilot. It does most of the basic functions you wouldn’t need when flying. The only reason my review is not five stars is because I find the UI to be pretty inconsistent and a bit clunky to use. Checklists could also use a little improvement.

Fantastic option for casual fliers
The app may not be 100% polished but for the casual pilot who can barely afford the rental costs, having a fully functional free option is amazing.
Thank you, from a poor pilot.

Wow!
Obviously a lot of work is in this app! Thank you! After using the old one so long I’m having some learning curve challenges to get best benefits here but have no problems at all. Some of the features are not as good for me when using this on my old tablet, but this is better on my newer, larger screen.

High battery consumption
Flew a 1.3 hour flight and lost 35-40% battery. When compared to my other EFB I would lose maybe 15% for that length of flight. Other than that it works decently good. Little bit of a learning curve knowing where all the bells and whistles are. A bug I noticed is that it cut off the two digits right of the decimal on the altimeter setting while connected to ADSB WX in the airplane. Like it was too many characters for the box that popped up when I clicked on an airport.

How & Where ??
No, as user-friendly as it should be
New avarex
I’m impressed, like it better then the original.. still haven’t figured out some functions.. everything has a learning curve… On the chart downloads I wish they would show the states that that section covers.. when I enter my own route from the sectional they are reversed to the direction of each way point.

Great App
I’ve used this app on a Samsung tablet and this one for Apple products is even better! Fun to have even if you’re not an aviator but fly on airlines. Get a window seat and use this app to follow your progress in greater detail than the airliner’s moving map.
However, if you are an aviator who doesn’t need all the whistles, bells and expense of Foreflight, this is your app!

Pretty good and easy to use
Great option to replace Fore
Great app, but still needs a litte work.
Love the cross platform design, but end up using both this and the older Adair, due to just a few features.
Open Source Options
As someone pursuing their Airframe & Powerplant ratings, I appreciate an open source alternative to foreflight.

New to AvareX
Just started using the new edition of Avare and my one complaint is I don’t see the Csup that was prevalent in the old one. Might be my poor skills but it shouldn’t be that hard to find, if it is there at all
Love it
Great option to replace Fore
Good product
Can’t beat it for a free app.
Great For New Pilots
Free and Functional. Still trying to get the new X version to talk to MSFS 2020. I wish there was more customization features like in the original Avare app. Needs better documentation on features usage. Very satisfied with the product though.
Issue with KLNK?
I think the app was just updated? Searching on KLNK or doing a long click genes a grey screen requiring the program to be restarted. Other aireports seem to be ok.
Also, is it possible to get an idea of number of satellites are seen by the iPad GPS?

AvareX
Good for flight plane for me at this point.
Terrific app
I have been using Avare on an android tablet for a few years and was delighted to see it come to the Apple platform as well. It is easy to use and a great primary or backup navigation aid.
