I've been using "free" AVG for 10-15 yrs. 1.) Allow, 2.) Use "free" (as if a "puppy") 3.) Remove within 8 hrs. 4.) Tah-Dah, & Ow La La 🎶 🎼 thx, AVG
AVG is better than McAfee VPN
I was using McAfee VPN but the app continues to drop the VPN connection at the worst times when I open other apps like my banking website, other apps. When that happens the apps will not load or reload because McAfee is not stable VPN! So, I came back to the avg which is a stable app
Web shield blocks all internet
Avg used to great now it blocks any internet connectivity at all if you activate web shield. This is silly. After years being a loyal customer I’m done fiddling with settings that prevent using your computer. Avg fix your issues this started happening months ago. And continues to get worse with each update.

Like many other reviews my vpn constantly turns its self on and off.
Why do you had updates that never solve the problem.
It leaves us unprotected.
Scam calls still getting through.
I have had 3 scam calls in 2 days.
Also scam emails.
I thought using AVG was supposed to stop scam calls and emails getting through. Sadly it doesn’t.

Great protection
Does what the job as promised.

Worthless
The $19.99 yearly subscription is worthless. You scan for viruses only for the app to do nothing and instead try and sell you “upgraded” features. It won’t see if you have malware or viruses. If u plan to upgrade for the vpn feature, there are better apps with much better and advance features and for much less

VPN keeps disconnecting
I’ve had this app for many years now, and I’ve never had a problem with it until this week. It keeps disconnecting and when I go and try to connect it again, it keeps saying connection failed. I uninstalled it with the intention of reinstalling it to see if that solved the problem and now unfortunately, I can’t access my account. Despite the fact that I’ve had this account for years it keeps telling me no subscription found, even though my subscription is good until February 2027. I have now had to cancel the subscription and have lost out on many months VPN service that I have paid for. I will not be resubscribing and just go and find another more reliable service.

Lag in performance
I find the app waits a certain amount of time to open, which is a lag in performance…

It slowed everything down and gave erroneous errors such as no internet available blocked email and internet traffic

Disappointing un-robust/un-reliable software
You can be using the VPN, and then suddenly it will stop/pause and your app has lost internet connectivity - especially annoying when it is a streamed TV programme. It is fixed by selecting a different server (as I’m UK based it is switching between London and Manchester servers). Really frustrating. The AVG help desk does not want to acknowledge that it is unreliable. When it works, it works - you just cannot predict when it will stop. Also impacts AVG on a MacBook, so either a common client software bug across iPad and MacOS or a common server issue. Here’s hoping AVG will read this and investigate the issue to deliver a more stable product.

Ich habe mittlerweile schon sehr viele Antiviren&VPN-Apps ausprobiert. Manche waren Müll, andere waren gut, aber kein Antivirus&VPN-App ist so gut wie AVG Mobile Security.
Außerdem ist 29€ pro Jahr so gut wie nichts für einen so tollen Antivirus wie AVG Mobile Security.
Definitiv weiterzuempfehlen😁
