Works great (protools)
Once you install the eucontrol drivers and get the computer side figured out, the app connects fast and automatically, there's no latency, and all the functions I need are there. I attach my phone to my mic stand so I can quickly press record while I'm far from my computer.

What happened?!?
Used previously and it was amazing. Now it refuses to connect on any combination of devices. Avid Control and EUControl are different version numbers. For a company like Avid that is so proven, gobsmacked that this is 100% useless
I love this Eucon app
I use this on 3 Avid S1 units with Amazon Fire tablets plus an ipad pro. The functionality this app brings is a fantastic game changer.
Connection issues with this update
This latest update doesn’t correlate with the latest EuControl version. No more connection.

Latest Eucontrol from is 2025.12.0.36. Latest Avid Control is 2025.12.0.12. When will 2025.12.0.36 be available in the App Store?
Works well with Cubase
Excellent extension, works well with Cubase Pro 14 on PC.

Definitely a pro level addition to ProTools. Once you understand it’s behavior and how to operate it works like a friggin charm. Extremely happy with this free pro level controller.
An Impossible Solution
After years of failing at navigating AVID products, I have acceptance that sometimes the problem just might be me.
This app has been impossible to connect. I’ve tried a dozen or so different workarounds presented as solutions by other confused loyalists.
This thing is 100% unknown because I can NEVER get a connection.

App just stopped working!
Not sure if this was because of the recent updates but what was working surprisingly smoothly is an absolute nightmare. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling — the connectivity just doesn’t pair. Can you guys please fix this??

Just got a notification to update both desktop and app did that now my iPad will no longer connect. I’ve tried everything. This app is a joke Avid knows this is dodgy, but will never fix it. And for whatever reason my phone works my iPad is newer than my phone. My phone is at 13. My iPad is brand new.

Avid doesn't update app causing version mismatch
Awful ecosystem
Just buy a USB MIDI controller and move on. The ipad and Mac app both install and appesr to run fine. Problem is the entire system is dreadful and horribly unintuitive, with Avid giving practically zero help on how you actually connect this software together. Maybe if you’re a computer nerd you might make it work but I’m a sound enginer not an IT technician. If I could give you zero stars Avid, I would.

Eucon is the worst. Can’t connect to iPad, even after following the most vague directions one could give…… Why does this have to be so difficult?!

For some reason, I can no longer edit the soft keys. There is no editing window that comes up anymore. Does avid even care about their products whatsoever.
Quite Useful!
Thought I’d give it a try, despite the negative reviews. I was pleasantly surprised. The setup was a little finicky and some of the features could arguably be setup a little better. But overall it’s pretty good. Doesn’t seem to crash for me, very responsive in Pro Tools.
Buggy as Can be
Unless you have no choice I’d avoid, the time you’ll lose through frustration and trying to get the App to connect to PT Ultimate on a M2 Mac with iPhone 16 Pro is not worth the hassle. It kind of sums up Avid these days
Too bad this app doesn’t work very well. It’s a great idea.
I wish they would make this app worthwhile. It’s a great app but doesn’t work very well at all. It constantly loses connection even though my Wi-Fi is perfectly connected. It’s a terrible app. Why won’t they make this better? Avid seems to not care anything about its products only for the money I’m so disappointed with avid, even though I’ve been a ProTools user for 20 years.
