Doesn’t work
Can’t even get the account set up because it never sends the SMS code for verification. Tried it on a few of our phones with different carriers. Same result. Just go to the machine and hope there isn’t a log queue.

j'ai acheté 2 tickets 7 jours pour ma femme et moi pensant pouvoir ensuite lui envoyer son ticket sur son smartphone (comme je le fais avec plein d'autres app comme air france, easy jet, …) et bien non ce n'est pas possible !!! aucun warning au moment de la sélection du nombre de tickets … bref je duis furieux car on ne peut pas se déplacer individuellement. j'ai essayé de joindre le service client qui se résume à un pauvre chat bot en italien (en vain pour un remboursement)
bref une grosse m… d'app, tout simplement honteux quand on connaît le nombre de touristes dans venise !
mon conseil achetez des billets papier si vous ne voulez pas avoir des problèmes.

SMS not sent
App requires SMS code verification for sign up. Never received code after multiple tries. Might be an area code issue (Canada 1+)? Don’t waste your time.

Sadly, this is a horrible app to set up an account with. Would not send text to verify information.
This app is useless
Totally useless. Installed and bought 2 day passes, one for myself and one for my spouse. The QR code only works once out of 10 attempts.
Does not work - Might be a good idea to fix it
It will say it sends you an SMS message to create your account in order to use the app, but the code never comes. So the app is useless!!

Es ist gut, dass Venedig für den Nahverkehr diese App hat. Doch dem Stand der Zeit entspricht sie absolut nicht, der Kauf eines 48-Stunden-Tickets gestaltet sich absolut umständlich: Anstatt die verschiedenen Tickets anzuzeigen und Icons zu nutzen, muss man als Reisender wissen, welche Kategorie man in Worten eingeben muss. Die Suchworte ergänzen sich auch nicht automatisch, erst dann werden Tickets angezeigt. Für so ein internationales Reiseziel sollte die App durch einen vernünftigen App-Entwickler neu aufgesetzt werden. // È positivo che Venezia disponga di questa app per il trasporto pubblico locale. Tuttavia, non è affatto al passo con i tempi: l’acquisto di un biglietto da 48 ore risulta estremamente complicato: invece di visualizzare i diversi tipi di biglietto e utilizzare delle icone, il viaggiatore deve sapere quale categoria inserire per esteso. Inoltre, i termini di ricerca non vengono completati automaticamente; solo a quel punto vengono visualizzati i biglietti. Per una destinazione turistica così internazionale, l’app dovrebbe essere riprogettata da uno sviluppatore competente.

Doesn’t work at all
Registration is not possible, SMS validation doesn’t work. However in e-mail it comfirms the e-mail has been confirmed, login is not possible. Password reminder request is confirmed in the App, but the e-mail hasn’t been received.
Despite as guest user the route can be selected, tivket purchase function doesn’t offer any tickets, but brings the route planner function again. Unfortunatelly at this time it doesn’t find the stations at all.
I’ve spent 30mins to try to get ticket, but fed up.
This app is completely useless and it’s a shame such a prestigious public transport company in such a popular tourist destination doesn’t have seamless online service in 2026

Still no good
I read the reviews and they were all horrible, but they were from several years ago for the most part so I gave the app. They have not made any improvements. The app will not let you register as I never got the SMS code and there is no option to get it via email or any other way. I was able to buy the tickets. I needed straight from the Venice official website. I don’t think they will let me put the URL in this review. How an official app for Venice public transportation remains unusable for years baffles me.

Impossible to use
Impossible to use - SMS code is never delivered during registration, tried 2 different phones with 2 different numbers.
Horrible
Italian app/web infrastructure is just horrible, payments within the app don't work, Apple wallet obviously doesn't exist because Italians mentally live in early 2000s, the app redirects you to a web site where you need to input your card details and, of course, it sometimes throws errors at you. Besides, why tf do I need to create an account?

Katastrophe
Kauft kein Online Ticket. Der QR Code, den man an vielen Stationen scannen muss um Zugang zu bekommen, lässt sich meist nicht scannen. Und dann steht man da mit gültigen Ticket und kommt nicht durch. Venedig ist leider in der Beförderung noch nicht im digitalen Zeitalter angekommen. Mit Tickets aus Papier klappt es überall gut 🤷♂️

Can’t use. Need code via SMS to complete registration and they never send the SMS. Tried at least 5 times.

I wish there could be a zero score option but there isn’t. It is so hard to look for transportation tickets, the app design is just hard to use without proper instructions for tourists.

Beispiel: Suche auf der Startseite Dein Ziel, GPS basiert wird Dein Standort gefunden und passende Verbindungen angezeigt (leider nicht immer). Soweit so gut. Dann gehst Du weiter, um ein Ticket für diese Verbindung zu kaufen und landest auf einer Seite wo Du wieder Start und Ziel eingeben musst. Die Suche dort ist eine Katastrophe und findet nur wenige Stationen und die auch nur, wenn Du sie exakt richtig schreibst, sie findet keine Namensbestandteile, nichts ähnliches. Habe erfolglos aufgegeben und am Schalter gekauft.
