Schlechteste Nahverkehr App der Welt
Beispiel: Suche auf der Startseite Dein Ziel, GPS basiert wird Dein Standort gefunden und passende Verbindungen angezeigt (leider nicht immer). Soweit so gut. Dann gehst Du weiter, um ein Ticket für diese Verbindung zu kaufen und landest auf einer Seite wo Du wieder Start und Ziel eingeben musst. Die Suche dort ist eine Katastrophe und findet nur wenige Stationen und die auch nur, wenn Du sie exakt richtig schreibst, sie findet keine Namensbestandteile, nichts ähnliches. Habe erfolglos aufgegeben und am Schalter gekauft.

Unusable
The app is still as unusable as last time I was in Venice 3 years ago. The SMS to register never arrives, there’s no map, you can’t buy tickets… it’s really a waste of storage. Just go to the booth at the station and buy your tickets there.

It doesn’t work as of March 2026. Absolutely ridiculous that this is Italy’s official app for AVM Venezia and it simply doesn’t work. Embarrassing.
Not helpful
This app relies on you knowing exactly where you are and where you want to go. It would be far more helpful to start with an interactive map, that you can choose you start and end route on. Additionally, I was trying to find the option to buy the 2/3/7 day pass, and it was impossible.

The app says a code was sent to my phone but it never arrived. Appears this app is useless without the code.

Incompatible with Apple Pay
You purchase a 3 day pass, the app provides a bar code. You go to show the bar code to the reader and Apple Pay kicks in instead. This is not the fault of Apple Pay it is supposed to work like that. It is the fault of the App which should provide a way to add the bar code to Apple Pay and it should add code to the App to prevent Apple Pay kicking in.
And don’t even get me started on the timetables - good luck trying to get the app to show Venice Vaporetto timetables.

Couldn’t get past phone verification set up
Simply doesn’t work
Tried to register, would not accept an email address with a period in it. Email had to be simply letters at Gmail or whatever phone number supposed to be verified by text. I never received a text. Tried to use without registering. Asks for departure and destination. There are no pull downs. I typed in the name of the town. I’m staying in nothing found. I typed in the name of the nearest bus stop, nothing found. Totally useless.

Probably the worst app I have ever had the misfortune to use. Unless you know exactly which of the bewildering range of ticket options you want in advance, you will have very little chance choosing the correct one with this app!

The SMS code to verify the app never arrived after several attempts.
Didn’t work
App wouldn’t let us create an account until we entered an sms code, but it never sent us the code. Tried with multiple numbers. I don’t think it works for international phone numbers. Had to go buy a paper ticket
Does not work USA
Idiots have the same country code for USA and Canada. USA phone numbers will never get the sms code. +11 is the country code.
Relatively useless
SMS validation for accounts not received; unable to actually buy a ticket after seeing the recommended routing. Makes you search for to and from that never finds the start and end location of the route recommendation. Just avoid and save yourself the headache.
Set up disaster
Don’t try to set up an account, it never sends you a sms code if you’re out of the country and doesn’t even offer an option to use the email address you provided.

Vielleicht hat man jetzt nachgebessert, aber die schlechten Rezensionen kann ich nicht teilen. Die App hat eine englische Oberfläche, die Registrierung war einfach, zumindest wenn man keine extra Rechnung fürs Finanzamt benötigt (Option abwählen). Einzig die Suche einer Verbindung über die Standortsuche war nicht immer optimal. An unserem Hotel wollte die App uns einen Kilometer laufen lassen, obwohl die Haltestelle direkt vor der Tür liegt.
