I have a feeling that all the bad reviews are from competitors. Seamless app and no bs simple camera that does what you expect it to do.
Not the best option
So as many other ratings have pointed out, this setup requires WiFi connection to function. If you use Apple CarPlay over WiFi you have to choose between having your dashcam or CarPlay active, and you dashcam will only work while you are in the car and connected to the devices WiFi. There’s just better options out there.

don’t fall for this scam product
this product is absolutely grange, i’m not even bad at technology but i can’t even register for an account. Whether the permissions screen pops up (and just so you know I have all permissions enabled so don’t know why it keeps popping up) or it just says operation failed when trying to register it is so useless and such a scam do not waste your money.

Camera works fine. 2 stars for misguided ppl. I thought if you hardwire dash cam like it says you would have gps live view connects to your phone via WiFi is a WHOLE SCAM. Meaning the dash will disconnect soon as your phone not close. Waste of money for ppl who live in apartments with horrible parking. Not your fault no but your camera made it seem like I would be able to see my car from inside my apt. NOPE. WiFi no connection yellow light. Car is a sitting duck recording hope. Hoping nobody break in take dash steal car..etc ..ya phone certainly won’t know if you not in Range. Ya welcome

Not sure why the low ratings
Bought the 2k front dashcam and have no issue at all connecting to the app and viewing my recordings. Almost didn’t buy cause of the low ratings on this app, but really unsure as to why that is. Highly recommend.

Complete garbage
App is so trash while creating account it just says “operation failed” tried different email passwords even deleted and re downloaded app and tried on a second phone same thing can’t even create an account in the first place
Good not great app
Like mentioned in other reviews the app can be confusing to some, but once you figure it out there’s no issues. I have drives downloaded to my iPhone that are saved in the app. Works great!!
Works perfectly
I bought the device from a discount store and was very hesitant, but the device, the installation and the app all work perfectly. I started with a use SD card but I recommend getting a new one so you don’t have to format it. I seen the low rating and cant understand why. The first time i used it some guy sped by me hit a dip and caught air and sent sparks flying and I got it all on camera. I locked that video a watch it when i need a good laugh. Whatever might have been wrong with the app, it works perfect now. Super happy with this product.

Good camera. Bad app.
Camera works fine but the app is very slow and it takes a long time to download videos. It’s easier to just insert the micro sd card into a computer and see the data. You don’t necessarily need the app.
How does this thing work, assuming it does?
How the life of me I can't figure out how to make this app work and without it, the camera is pretty much useless.

App Not usable
I can’t figure out how to download videos on iPhone app. It says you can connect to camera to download. I’m connected to camera and can see video but where is the download button. Album is empty.
