Excellent!
The simplicity of design, straightforwardness of application, and almost intuitive ability to do its purpose effectively, are all reasons I love this app. Too many other apps are a pain to use, and are more trouble than they’re worth. Awareness has called me out enough to know that I need this app to help me out, and has been a comforting and reassuring presence enough to let me know that I’m always ok. Thank you for this app, it’s helping me truly change my attitude, perception, and life around.

Needs a good deal of work
As a tool there are foundational basics missing that make this an ineffectual mindfulness checker/trainer. The feeling section could easily be fixed if the user was allowed to edit/expand the list. A human being has more than 10 feelings!! The time setting lacks as well. Asking how many time and then limiting it to a max of 17.. It would be far more effective if it was switched from a “how many times” to a time wise configuration, every half hour or hour for example. A minor fix with the photo used on the singular quote which is weird and morose. Reporting is lacking as well. With some fixes this could be a good app.

Outdated Technically & Limited Functionality
I’m truly sorry to write this review as I had high hopes for this app, particularly given the number of positive comments. But it only supports portrait mode and when receiving the alert in another app and following to awareness you’re converted to portrait mode, then returning to whatever app you were in you have to giggle back to landscape. This is such poor integration, imo, particularly for an app’s that’s purpose is to “notify” you multiple times a day, even at the starting notification level of 5 its annoying. Not possible to use for training “awareness” - cause I just won’t use it.
And the actual app functionality is limited, you merely click drop down lists - no way to record what is triggering the emotion - feelings are normal, without context I see little value of tracking. So it gives some nice “quotes” and reminds one to breath, all good but frankly I could set a reminder to do that, and, lol, I find my “emotion” is consistently annoyed from using it.

Pretty great but lots more potential
Not optimized for retina display. Would like to see some more robust analytics, other ways of looking at the data, and reports. A really great idea and I hope they keep developing it because it has the potential to be a remarkable tool.
Well done!
Little reminders to keep you in the moment! Excellent!
Frustrated
On the website, it says you can add categories for each activity but this does not work with my version. The categories listed are frustratingly limited and don't fit my interpretation. Great for the person who designed it I guess, but not for me or probably others. Very limited without option to edit though it says you should be able to do so. What a waste of my money. And I don't want to spend hours trying to figure it out and get it corrected. I should not have to do this.

What is going on??!!
I made this purchase without reading the prior review. I'm having the same problem with the app immediately closing!!! What is going on?
Amazing app
We all need to be a little more aware! This app is amazing!
Would like to see a few more options with some feelings but still love love love it.. Use it frequently!

Great App
Great App that has helped with my anxiety. I wish there were more reports than just the pie chart so you could see what activities and what times of day cause certain emotions. It would also be great to have more quotes as I keep seeing many of them over and over.
This is a good tool for mindfulness
Even experienced practitioners of mindfulness can appreciate this app. I am pretty good at periodically stopping and "checking in" with my body and emotions. However, this app makes the process even more mindful in that it can catch me at times when I need to check in, such as times of stress at work.
It may seem that some of the videos and quotes are a little hokey -- I actually like them. In the moment you're checking your body and emotions, you often need a little nudge -- either to change the emotion or to remind you to revel in your good mood. This app is great for this.
I haven't analyzed my results but appreciate that it keeps track of your emotions. To me, the biggest selling point of this app is to continually remind you to check in and change your thoughts/moods/etc if you want to.
My only qualm with the program is that it will sometimes "gong" at me to check in just moments after completing the last check-in. The check-in reminders don't seem to come regularly throughout the day but in groups of 2-3 back to back which is a little annoying. Other than that, I'd give this a 5-star rating. To be clear, this is a good tool for people who understand the mindfulness process and who know what to do when you "check-in."

Take the time
Though sometimes intrusive in (which is the point), this app has positively impacted the control and perspective I have in managing day-to-day chaos. It has proven to be a very valuable grounding tool that has frequently broken negative energy trends and escorted me to a more productive place. Though probably not for the instant gratification crowd it is well worth the price of a cup of coffee.

This app is garbage
I saw this lady on CNN and decided to give her app a try. First of all the price is absolutely ridiculous and far too high for the actual usefulness of the app. 2nd I got so annoyed by the random alerts I got repeatedly throughout the day I stopped recording my feelings because the only time I ever did was when I was in a passive enough mood not to be frustrated by the nuisance pop-ups. 3rd the remediation mediation screen after you enter your feelings lasts hardly enough time to have an impact. Overall I'd give this app a D- simply for the initial thought and concept of what it was intended to do but it completely misses the mark. I just deleted this annoying thing off my phone and wish I could have my 3 bucks back. What a rip-off. Don't waste your money on this garbage.

Awareness App-a very special experience!
It took some time for me to discover the beauty of the Awareness app, but with steady daily use I have come to really appreciate it's power for allowing me to reconnect with myself in a deeper way. The design is smart and the graphics are beautiful, especially the use of color-matching for a diverse list of feelings. And there are numerous tutorials embedded in the app to educate and instruct. I now find that I am beginning to become more aware of my feelings away from the app without being notified. And I am learning how to better identify different feelings in myself more accurately. It is just the simple act of quieting my mind for a moment each day and putting my attention on what I feel in the moment that is the greatest benefit of the Awareness app. I think creator Ronit Herzfeld has tapped into a vehicle for self-discovery and self-empowerment with Awareness-a superb use of technology for the sake of enlightenment!! You need only allow it to bring your emotional body to life.

Has Potential
This app needs to bring more to the table in order to justify it's nearly $4 price tag. It's interesting to see my spectrum of moods and feelings as well as what I was doing at the time, but it needs more than that.
The pictures are nice, but the advice and quotes are repetitive and fluffy. It could use more substance. Perhaps a journal feature, a guided meditation feature or mantras would validate the cost.

Needs more work
It's a well thought out app but there are some limitations. First off please know that mostly you are paying $3.99 to have someone remind you to take a deep breath. The advice given is very generic and far too repetitive. It tells you to do things like. "embrace the feeling" "let the feeling move through you" "be present with the feeling". All of which is a bit fluffy and intangible. All of the advice ends with "smile" and the suggestions are given way to fast to really process so you get to "smile" often before you are ready to do it. I've had the app one day and I'm already tired of reading the same suggestions over and over.
Technically the photos are very relaxing but at the expense of being able to read much of the drop down menus. Too much dark text over dark backgrounds. This needs to be fixed.
It's pretty obvious to me the majority if not all of the 5 star ratings are from the creator of the app, colleagues of the creator, or people who got it for free as a test. If it were .99 it would have been well worth it but at $3.99 it's not worth the money in my opinion.

Awareness Every Day
The Awareness app is an outstanding guide for cultivating emotional intelligence, integration, and resolution.
The process has a clarity that effectively helps one work through and beyond challenging feelings and concerns to
access understandings, self-empowerment, peace.
Furthermore, the habits of mindfulness it encourages begin to take root naturally
and become a new part of an individual's empowered awareness, indeed. What a Gift!
With the Awareness app, a liberating mirror of the Soul now exists within our companion technologies.
Thank you! :)

Productive app
This is a very worthwhile app. As a therapist, I often encourage my patients to tune in to their emotions. The capability to perform brief journaling would make this a five star app. In lieu of journaling, a tab to record thoughts would work as well. After all, it's our thoughts that drive our emotions and behaviors. I see myself using this daily. Even therapists can use a reminder to tune in once in a while. :-) Well done.

Nice concept, but too expensive
I like the whole idea of this app. I have been using it for a couple of weeks and it's nice to be able to see the range of emotions I went through and which emotions were most prevalent.
That said, I don't think the price is justified for a nice UI and some inspiring quotations.
