About

AXPA Pilot is the drone pilot's app in the field. What you plan in AXPA Planner, in your pocket: whether you can fly here and now, the signed checklist, approaching traffic and what to do if something goes wrong. BEFORE THE FLIGHT · Whether you can fly here and now, against YOUR drone's limits: wind and gusts at flight height, rain, snow, visibility and temperature, now and over the next few hours. · Geographical zones and active NOTAMs at the site, with the authority's literal text. · Today's operation and what it requires: authorisation, coordination or conditions. · Your organisation's checklists for that drone and that operation, signed by the remote pilot in command and sent straight to AXPA Fleet. DURING THE FLIGHT · Nearby traffic with alerts: aeroplanes and helicopters (ADS-B), gliders and paragliders (OGN/FLARM) and drones broadcasting Remote ID. · Weather alerts: lightning observed nearby, incoming rain, storm risk, and when the weather is about to exceed your drone's limits. · Per-battery flight timer, with return and land warnings based on the drone's endurance. · Situation minimap: your position, the operation area and the traffic around you. IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG · Emergency: your country's number and your coordinates ready to read out. · Who controls the zone you are in, with the aerodrome's phone numbers and emails when available. · Quick incident report, with note and position, to AXPA Fleet. AFTER THE FLIGHT · The post-flight checklist and your flight minutes logged to the logbook. NO COVERAGE Anything you sign offline is stored and sent automatically when the connection returns. You need an AXPA account (the same one as AXPA Planner). Some features depend on your organisation's plan. AXPA Pilot is an aid for the pilot: it does not replace official aeronautical information or the pilot's judgement, and the traffic alert is not a certified detect-and-avoid system.
