About
B-Fox Receiver is the dedicated receiver app for B-Fox — an iBeacon-based foxhunting game that brings the thrill of radio direction finding to anyone with a smartphone.
Track down hidden beacons by following the signal — no amateur radio license, no special hardware beyond your phone.
[Visual Radar]
Detected beacons appear as dots on screen. The bigger the dot, the closer the beacon — an intuitive display that lets you read signal strength at a glance.
[Real-Time Updates]
Powered by CoreLocation, the app continuously scans and animates changes in beacon distance with smooth, fluid motion.
[Multiple Beacons]
Detect several beacons simultaneously. A live list sorted by RSSI keeps the nearest beacon always at the top, with bar indicators showing relative signal strength.
[Group Filtering]
Use the Major selector (0–9) to focus on a specific set of beacons — flexible enough for casual play or organized events.
[About B-Fox]
B-Fox is an open-source project that recreates the core fun of foxhunting — searching for a hidden transmitter by radio signal strength — using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Pair this app with a
B-Fox iBeacon transmitter and start hunting.
