Baby Namely

Before you meet them, you already hope for so much. Baby Namely helps you find a name that holds those hopes. Every name carries a number. Each letter has a value, and together they add up to something with meaning: a leader, a kind heart, a curious spirit. Tell us the three qualities you wish for your little one, and we'll show you which names carry them, in gentle, plain words. HOW IT WORKS • Choose three hopes. Kind, adventurous, wise, creative, a born leader and more. • Type any name. See straight away which of your hopes it carries: Yes, or Nearly. • Tap Why? to understand it. A short, clear explanation of the three numbers inside every name, with no confusing charts. • Keep the ones you love. Your names live on one calm home screen, with glowing dots that show which fits best. MADE FOR THE BIG DECISION • Need ideas? Browse close to 2,000 popular names for girls and boys, scored against your hopes. • Compare two favourites side by side and see where each one shines. • See what nicknames change. Will Millie keep what Amelia carries? • Add the people at home and see how a new name sits with the family it's joining. • Keep your shortlist on your Home Screen and Lock Screen with widgets. GENTLE BY DESIGN Baby Namely is calm and quiet on purpose, made for late night feeds and slow Sunday conversations. No clutter, no pressure, just the names you're considering and what they mean to you. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT No account, no sign up, no tracking. Everything is worked out on your phone, and nothing you type ever leaves it. A GENTLE GUIDE, NOT A RULE Baby Namely uses Pythagorean numerology, a popular tradition for finding meaning in names. It isn't a science, and it won't choose for you. Think of it as one more gentle voice in a conversation that belongs to you, your partner and the little one on the way.
