Review is for the app, not the publication
With as pricey as the app subscription is, there’s no excuse for not having them latest issue up within a week of the print publication date. The magazine is fantastic. The app is so-so.
Needs to update sooner
The app works well, but new issues are added weeks after they are otherwise available, which is super frustrating.
If you want to go deep with comics
This magazine is the one for you if you want to learn about the history of comics, the what if story lines and so much more. This magazine goes very in depth on the subject with well researched articles and eye catching pictures.
Super nostalgic!
I don't buy many new comics these days but every new issue of Back Issue gives me that "new comic book day" feeling. Thoughtful well written articles and interviews with favorite writers and artists!
Gets the job done
Works great. I use it to read Back Issue Magazine, and it's easy to make purchases and load up new or past issues. It would be nice if there was a guided view function for reading like with comixology, but it's simple enough to zoom in and out and follow along with paragraphs.
