Great App, but…
The App has been great, but when you close your account they continue to charge you, so make sure you cancel your subscription on your side. Once account is closed you can’t get hold of them either! It’s a shame to end this way given the years I’ve been with them :(

Great app, improves constantly
We’ve used this app since we had our first almost 8 years ago. Our four kids entire lives are in this app (which is also terrifying should they ever shut down completely). We love the tagging and filtering system as well as abilities to add stories and milestones, and LOVE adding videos.
Things we wish for in future updates: the photobooks that automatically create leave me wanting so a way to api into Shutterfly or similar for total books (including stories, comments from family/friends) would be amazing . I would also love a way to purchase dvds or compiled videos as a “home video”.

Back Then is a great App!
I have used Back Then for the entirety of my kid’s life. Back when it was Lifecake, I easily shared his code with trusted family. They loved being able to have pictures to look at whenever they wanted, and I loved that it wasn’t publicly online. When they transitioned to Back Then, I worried. A few family members passed away and they had left messages. Back Then was awesome about making sure these messages transferred over. My kid is now a pre-teen, and I still have that security of being able to share photos with our loved ones, in one place, without having to keep up with a text thread or remembering to text each person. When we had a falling out with some close friends, it was easy to change their access. I pay for the VIP monthly or annual service and I have not run out of space. I don’t take as many photos as I used to, but I am comforted to know they will be there, they are secure, and I can keep uploading.
