Badlands, Wall Drug and Historic Missile Site

The Badlands are truly one of God’s amazing creations. The unique rock formations are breathtaking, and the colors are much more vibrant than those of the Painted Desert. We could clearly see the different layers and shades throughout the landscape, making it even more impressive.

Wall Drug was a fun, eclectic stop full of history and quirky attractions. The donuts definitely live up to the hype! We also ate there, and while the food was more like cafeteria-style fare, it was satisfying and hit the spot after a day of exploring.

Unfortunately, we ran out of time and weren’t able to visit the Minuteman Missile Site, so be sure to plan ahead if that’s on your list.

I would recommend allowing at least 4–5 hours to fully enjoy the area without feeling rushed.

Response from developer

I'm thrilled you enjoyed the Badlands tour! If you're eager for more adventures, my Tour of 25+ National Parks Self-Guided Driving Tours Bundle covers incredible destinations like Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and Zion.

Totally misinformed

We had two self-paced driving tours - the Badlands and Mt Rushmore.

Badlands was great - well done and useful.

Mt Rushmore turns out to be a walking tour which doesn’t work for seniors in 99 degree heat on July 11, 2024. We also had bad air conditioning quality today due to Canadian forest fires.

I contacted customer service - they were unable to tell me how I could know it was a walking tour before I purchased it. They (assuming it was a real person and not AI) referred me to FAQ then cut me off after I repeated the question.

So one good tour and one hard fail = 1 star review. I don’t like giving bad reviews - they earned it.

Spend your money some where else.
