Can't use—error

I just downloaded this for the first time. It looks super cute so I was excited, but it immediately threw a weird "Failed to sign in anonymously" and says to contact support. Closed and reopened and it happened again. Couldn't do anything. That's a concerning first start so, no, I'm not contacting support. Will look for another timer app.

FAQ

What does the Bakery app do?

Bakery is a focus timer designed to help you reduce phone usage and increase productivity. It uses a gamified approach where you 'bake' virtual pastries while you focus on tasks. The timer continues even when your screen is off, encouraging uninterrupted attention to real-life activities.

How does the baking feature work?

You select a virtual pastry and set a timer for up to two hours. As the timer progresses, your pastry bakes. If you exit the app for too long, your bake might burn, but you have a short window to reopen it and save it. Successful bakes are displayed in your virtual case.

Is Bakery free to use?

Yes, Bakery is free to download and use. The app offers in-app purchases, allowing you to spend earned coins on new recipes and unlock additional baked goods. There are no advertisements within the app.

What are the benefits of using Bakery?

Bakery helps you break the habit of constant phone checking, become more productive at work or school, and feel a sense of accomplishment. It encourages you to reconnect with friends and family by minimizing digital distractions.

Can I use Bakery while my phone screen is off?

Yes, your bake continues even when your phone screen is turned off. This feature is crucial for maintaining focus on your tasks without the temptation of checking your phone. Just ensure you don't leave the app for too long to prevent your virtual pastry from burning.
