Dont bother! Buy something else!

Dont bother. This game requires a controller. Dont waste your time. Just buy something else.
Gotta love a game that even AI cannot find the instructions or a tutorial.
Too bad. I’ve played D&D since the 70s. This is the worst UI I have ever encountered.

Great game

Just as good now as it always was, I love classic RPG games, remake please.

True port. Brings me back to PS2 days.

Works great with a controller. The dead zones are pretty large in this game for controllers. Wish it was possible to fix them. Still worth a play. Just a bit more challenging due to precision loss for ranged attacks

5 Stars except -4 because

At random intervals of randomly occurring moments when you really REALLY NEED THIS TO HAPPEN… the screen starts spinning to reset the camera angle, eventually. Once it spun so much I thought it was Tony Hawk. But 4 time it spun around, and because your controls are locked for “camera direction” if you are moving, you start spinning g too. During boss fight… died. -4 stars.
During jumping phases through traps… died. -4 stars.
Casually looting , then crawling zombie attacks and you can’t hit him because the scree moving and your swinging are not in sync… died. -4 stars.

Fix this please. Fix it yesteryears ago please.

Thank for the game though. Played it in original release unlocked the Drizzt and owned everything all over again….. trying again in this app …. Died… -4 stars.

I’ll get there if you help fix that issue.

Cheers. !!! If you’ve read this far, 100% enjoyable game and challenges to challenge you. Get it. Now!

Perfect

This was such a special game to me, please tell me part 2 is coming

Great game.

Great game. More simple than Baldurs Gate 1 and 2. No big party to manage. Just a fairly simple dungeon crawler. So far at least. Worth the buy IMO. Great mobile RPG. And it has controller support unlike the other 2.

Mega

Mega echt, ist genauso wie an der ps2 damals außer mit dem m5 keine ladezeit so schnell und flüssig offe 2 und 3 teile kommt auch noch raus

Such an amazing port

This was a blast. Hopefully part 2 will be available someday

Truly epic

Very niece game very epic magical game ñ.

One of top favorites of all time

I got this game on demo (PS2 disc) when it came out, got it for PS2, kept my PS3 just so I could play it, have it on XBOX, and now downloaded on XBOX Series X, and yes of course now for iPAD!!! Have an M2 this works very well, only grumble is scrolling is a little painful, wish buttons on right were a little larger, but I can’t really complain to have this gem back.

I wish they made more like these there is so much AD&D content just waiting to be created this was just a taste. Thank you! EDIT 1/3/26 I have no issues pairing my xbox controller and no issues with stat allotment I have no idea what others are referring to. No bugs for me on an iPad.

You are all federal criminals. Changing.

Does not work on my iPhone

The idea seems like what I want to play. But…
Is it in the works ?

Cannot play no action selection click available. Scam.

A scam, should not be allowed on app store as it does not work on iPad

Major bug with levelling up

The control to move the cursor to level up another stat than strength isn’t working. Can only upgrade that stat. Annoying when you’re playing a sorceress…

Abandoned app….lots of bugs

There’s a lot I would have loved about this game as it’s a faithful recreation of a classic from the PS2 era of console gaming. Unfortunately, two big issues, and one broken “feature,” keep me from giving this a better review. First issue, you cannot assign your stats to various attributes as you level. There’s a bug and it auto-assigns ALL points to strength. If you rolled a dwarf this may be workable, but if playing an Elf or a Mage you are totally blocked from higher content entirely. Secondly, even when using a control pad (the onscreen controls are god awful), targeting is totally off….much of the game is isometric diagonal play. On the old PS2 controllers, easy to do this. But something is wrong and you cannot achieve similar targeting on this game, either with a MFI certified control pad, a Playstation or Xbox paired control pad or on-screen controls. As such, you cannot take advantage of corner-cover, geometry cover or other similar tactics. You just have to face-tank everything and since the stats can’t be assigned defensively, you are hosed. Finally, the game promises GameCenter/iCloud saves and the ability to continue your game between your iOS iPhone and/or iPad alike. Would be great to grind out a level when on a plane or whatever. But that feature doesn’t work at all. Requests for support go unanswered. This game is basically abandon-ware at this point. Too bad!

One of my best memories as a kid just as i remember

This game is exactly like I remember just better quality and a lot more fun to play.
I’m playing on my iPad Pro with m3 chip and it’s flawless and fast.
The mechanics are just wow, I hope with time more older games are released this way. If so there is so much money and memories to be made

Awesome, more please

This is a great port, so good that I hope the other three games on the same engine are ported. Champions!!!!

DND….

Without……
Waiting for your turn!!!!!
Balanced system, you don’t need hours or micro buys, it’s a skill game, thank heavens.

Leveling doesn’t work correctly

Like many others have reviewed leveling of stats doesn’t work correctly on my iPad. The screen never appears to assign stat points and they are automatically assigned to strength.

Good game

Nice action rpg with good story. Good controller support. I played on hard which I’d recommend if you’re familiar with these sort of games which was challenging but not frustratingly so. There are 3 character classes to choose from; dwarf fighter, archer and sorceress. The combat is smooth and the graphics are very nice considering it’s from the ps2 era. It has some light rpg elements such as basic quests, equipping various gear and skills to improve with experience. The monsters you fight are inventive and well designed. Overall, I recommend this game and consider it worth the price. It was an enjoyable experience with 20 hours for one playthrough.
