Very Poorly Built app
All my Bali shades show up in the list of connected devices under the phone’s Bluetooth menu but none of the shades show up in the app. Worst!!

This app is absolutely pathetic. The whole point is to automate your blinds yet the automation works about 10% of the time. Most of the time 1/4 or 2/4 blinds work while the rest say ‘offline’. Also, the Gateways just randomly go offline and quit working so you have to unplug them to get them to maybe start working again. I currently have a Gateway that just went offline and hasn’t come back in over an hour.
Blinds.com should be ashamed to sell this product and wish some lawyer would raise a class action suit against them for selling garbage technology for such a high markup.
Add shades, they delete themselves. Then just randomly goes offline. These people should be in jail for scamming people.

Works Perfect IME
Not sure why so many bad reviews on here. This is literally one of the easiest and least buggy apps I have ever used. Setup went flawlessly, took very little time, and my shades work flawlessly every single time. I couldn’t be happier with them. I can’t wait to get more shades for my bedroom and other rooms in my home. Maybe it’s the hub that causes problems because I don’t have anything except my iPhone and the shades themselves. Hub is unneeded imo.

Almost useless
Rarely stays connected. Takes so much waiting, reconnecting, troubleshooting each time you might as well use the button on the shades or dedicated remote control. I wouldn’t even bother with Bali motorized anything.
HORRIBLE
Wow!! This is THE MOST GLITCHIEST app EVER. It’s horrible. Crashes, freezes, doesn’t connect, all of the nightmare scenarios imaginable. I purchased custom blinds so I can’t exactly return these. If I could give less than 1 star I would. DO NOT BUY!
Completely non functional
Do not purchase Bali shades if you want automation. It’s not that it’s difficult to use, it’s that it simply doesn’t work and Bali is ok with this.
App Does What it Wants
I programmed two motorized shades. At first both connected. No problems for about ten minutes. Then the app deleted one and would not acknowledge the shade again. Tried troubleshooting, nothing works.

Worst product imaginable
I wish I had known how terrible this app is, the blinds are just fine but this app almost never works and is extremely frustrating. I regret buying Bali blinds.

The Bali motorized blinds are complete garbage and do not work. My gateway worked for one day. I’ve been dealing with them for a month now to get a new one. If you’re looking to waste your time and money then you’ve picked the correct company.

OMG...who programmed this? One of the worst apps I've ever used. This is an update: I've had this for 3 years now. While a slight improvement over the last version that was terrible, this is still way more complicated, provides little info (are the shades up or down...who knows unless you are looking at them!). Connects very slowly and frequently not at all! Shades are ok, but would never buy Bali again since they are unable or unwilling to improve their app! I DO NOT recommend.

Nice idea if it worked
got my new cellular shades for 2 rooms. paired with the app. worked. then wouldn’t work. now will only pair with one room. piece of junk. like the shades.

Update: after upgrading the firmware on one of the blinds, the app now crashes on launch every time.

Blinds will not maintain room associations, long delays on connecting to gateways, sometimes the gateway won’t connect at all, leaving the app in a weird state. It’s just so, so, so bad.

Subpar
This app is terrible. Needs a major update but never gets updated. A lot of automation could be instilled in the app like automatically combining gateways.
Good App
I set it up for 2 motorized shades, one remote and one gateway. Instructions were missing so had to work through it. App started and wanted to connect to hub. Adding shades was intuitive too. Only difficult part was assigning shades to the gateway. There’s a “Transfer Shades” that assigns them. Then I was able to setup routine. App and routines are working well.

Zero stars is not possible
This app - and the motorized Bali products that go with it - are so problematic that they should not be on the market until MANY more kinks are worked out. Essentially the expensive motorized Bali shades, blinds, cellulars and required accessories such as WiFi bridge are not fully functional at their current stage of development. In regards to the app itself, it is buggy, not user friendly, and does not allow the user to see some of the critical information about blind status. If you are looking for a window treatment with automation, you should purchase a different brand until Bali sorts out the basics.

Routines no longer working
Bluetooth connection. The routines suddenly unstopped working.

This app rarely works. With the most recent firmware update the app no li get opens the blinds in schedule. I have been waiting three weeks so far for a resolution.
