Great service, bad library

As a music app it’s pretty bad. It just sprawls all your purchased music on a single page and doesn’t have any sort of library function like iTunes or Spotify would. Very difficult to use on the phone, worse in the car

Love Jordan Rainer!

Lacks Flow, Annoying Use

This app is really annoying to use! I’ve used Bandcamp forever, but I hate this app. Why does it take 3 steps to add something to a playlist? Why does it just stop playing after you play a song?

It lacks any flow to listen to the music you’ve just purchased. I have hundreds of songs, it’s so time consuming to create new playlists or listen to all the new songs I just bought. I don’t like the shuffle feature to get around this because it seems to shuffle all the old songs in my collection first. Just autoplay from where you start! Shouldn’t be hard? I also don’t like how albums are hidden in a sense until you click on them, but not truly annoying like the other two high friction points.

These couple issues are the barrier to a truly terrific app. PLEASE CHANGE IT!

Error 429

I love Bandcamp but every time I’ve tried to get on it lately I get an “error 429”and can’t browse or play music.

Can’t buy music, can’t download music onto device

You can’t buy music in the app. Can’t download music to local storage to use a different player. Navigation is tedious when trying to discover new music even by the same artist. The organisation of your purchased items is a mess. It’s funny cause the app actually works it’s just all bad design choices.
I’ve stopped buying music on Bandcamp because it’s such a hassle. Occasionally they decide to not let you download your purchases because they say you used a different email when I only have one.
Wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t really support the artists as much as they promote they do

Search function is terrible

Lesser known artists can be unfindable on search. Please update so exact matches actually show up when you search.

Love Bandcamp, the player needs work.

I have been with bandcamp for a long time and I appreciate the slow but steady improvements to the player. I understand why rolling out public playlists is a good way to share outside of bandcamp, but I was hoping we could have seamless album playblack in app and maybe a shuffle button at the top of playlists. Those small features would elevate the app from "indie music sales platform" to something that could start to pull people away from the big streamers.

Well…hands down blowout!!!

Keygen Church…wow… best computer gen ever !!! Love the organ mystique… first time listener… Future listener

Hands down the best streaming platform

This is what music would look like if soulless businessmen didn’t co-opt human creativity into a business model. Bandcamp is real. User-uploaded, for free, direct support from fans to artist through merch and music sales, and the artist actually sees the money, not fractions of a cent. Bandcamp is incentivized to help the artists make money, because they only make profit from a small royalty on merch and music sales.

Great!

One-time album purchases are always better than having to subscribe to a pro version to get all the music on the site.

I get to own the music!!

Fix your links

I click on a link to purchase an album and it takes me to the web version. I go back to the app and lookup the album manually and click on the cd to purchase and my choice disappears. I go back to the top menu and choose purchases and the cart appears at the top. I click on the cart to see my purchase and it takes me to the artist/album page. No clue where I’m suppose to complete my purchase. I bought it on Amazon instead. Fix your links.

Horrible user experience

This app doesn’t even work correctly, when you want to download an album it doesn’t download it on the app, and when you don’t download it, it never stops telling you to download it and won’t let you listen to the songs anymore after a short period of time, so what are you even supposed to do? It’s so stupidly designed

Be more like Spotify except for the pay

The layout and features are way too simple, this could actually compete with Spotify (it should) if it had more features like it so as not to alienate new users. Like, liking songs, saving albums, having a Home Screen where albums don’t take up so much space. Also, it doesn’t expand for an iPad screen, which is annoying.

Support artists

I love being able to support artists more directly and not give greedy major labels any more money.

Mobile

To still not be able to upload through mobile is unbelievable to me

Broken

Entered my user and pass 12 times said it was wrong. I give up on this pos.

Well designed and performant

Well designed app and performant great for exploring indie music

Good idea but poorly executed

I want to like this app so much but the user experience just sucks. You guys have a significant userbase and should be paying more attention to this stuff, step it up plz

Deep cuts

I love finding things on Bandcamp that aren’t available on Spotify and Apple Music.
