Wired experience

I tried to use the currency exchange service, and sent 818 CAD to the platform, and then it said they would connect me with a sender thru WeChat for transferring Chinese Yuan and it would take around 40 mins max. Now it’s been 7 hours, there is still no one connecting and sending me money. When I ask for refund, basically the way that the customer service told me does not work at all, meaning there is no way to do it. It’s completely feeling like a scam. I’m still waiting now.
