Ive wasted a couple of hours trying to set up banking via the app but failed every time due to their technical reasons. Worthless app. Horrible customer experience. Go somewhere else to bank.
Essentially Useless
This is far inferior to the recently retired online banking web service. You can’t download transactions, and there’s no way of searching or filtering transactions, so if you’re trying to find a transaction you just have to read through the list manually. Very backwards. And not everyone wants to do their banking on an app… some people don’t have smart phones, and people like myself like to use a computer.

Absolutely shocking App & Live Chat
This app is truly shocking and hence unusable. Impossible to process a refund if you’re in credit and Live Chat completely useless, total amateurs
Won’t hold card details for payments
I find this app hugely frustrating because every time I want to pay my balance. It makes me add my payment card details all over again. It simply won’t save the detsils. It’s extremely annoying

A very trouble ridden app, slow hardly every works doesn’t show bank statements can’t speak to anyone on the chat… speaking to someone on the phone is not existent just menu after menu going around in one big circle
Impossible to register
Abhorrent registration process. Nothing works, barclays it is awful. Neither this nor my mortgage account worked through the app. Such a waste of time. That and also 3 weeks waiting period to receive a mail with the pin number extremely frustrating. Not acceptable in era of digital banking.

Every update the app goes from bad to worse, this app is dreadful.

The least user-friendly banking app I’ve ever experienced. Barely worth having as to do anything meaningful you need to call them. Use literally any other bank if you want a better experience.

Well behind the competition
This app needs urgent work, the company and developers need to get a grip and actually invest in improving it - or people like me will move to the competition that maintain tech like a company in the 21st century……You can’t minimise the app to see another app without the app kicking you out back to the start. You can’t use open banking to link your credit card into your bank account (Monzo for example). Apps should be helpful to use, this one is a hindrance. After a week of use, I’ve come to the conclusion that regardless of my card and credit limit, the App is soo poor and outdated and frustrating/non-intuitive, I will close my account and move to a conpetitor - JUST BECAUSE THE APP IS SO POOR. I had to speak with customer services (instead of using the app) to setup a direct debit, access my account (I had to fully register again) after being locked out after uninstalling and installing again to try to self-help bug fixes. It really is THE worst banking app I’ve had the displeasure of using. Take note developers - Apps should make our lives easier, not harder. You will lose customers if you do not adapt and invest in this app, especially now it is the ONLY option for credit card holders as you do not allow online banking registrations any more!!

No saved card function
Saved card feature has been removed for making payments. Makes the Barclaycard app now one of the most archaic and not user friendly banking applications out there - fix ASAP. Most apps now offer Open Banking. Why not Barclays? Moving to Virgin until this is fixed.
Export Transactions Needed
I’m satisfied with this app, but now online services have been removed, I want to export my transactions to excel. For me this is a feature I will miss.
Loss of features having removed the desktop option
How are Barclaycard uses to download transaction details from the Barclaycard app since the desktop app has been removed on the 19th August
Still woeful
This app really is dreadful. It’s functionality isn’t too bad, but the screen layouts are truly awful. The transaction page on an iPad Pro is pretty much all empty space, meaning looking at this takes loads of scrolling down when it could easily fit on one page. Also, it takes days for the statements to appear - I get the email notifying me that the statement is available, but it’s not. Then they won’t load. Now you’re turning off the website, so the functionality there that isn’t in the app eg next statement date, won’t be available at all. You really need to do better

Bad
Very slow. Doesn’t even remember the debit card I’m using to pay my bill, and makes me re enter it every single time. You should learn from a world class banking app like Starling.
All around the houses
Thought I would try and use the app for my Barclaycard. The app took me through a lengthy process, including validating my driving licence. It accepted my card details but once I was in the app it said I didn’t have a card. Waste of time and, bearing in mind the outcome, unduly intrusive.
Ruined it
Another gamification making the app look like countless others. I just want the data, I want to look at my balance as it was when transactions happened but that’s gone. I want simple not new advertising for other products to make you more money, haven’t you got enough???
Still have bug
It’s difficult to pay my bill, the bug not fixed. I tried several times but still not work
Pain in the beep to make payments
Everytime I want to make a payment I need to enter the card details again and again - for the love of god make it so my card details are saved! So it’s easy to make payment, or even offer open banking, I’m so close to just closing the account because of this lack of functionality
Recent upgrades prevents access
After using this app for several years, the latest upgrade has asked me to do identity checks but seems incapable of managing the phone’s video system to do them. This is a shame because the app has historically been very good, but the latest upgrade is clearly not well tested.
