Missing Statements
App has updated and now my statements I can see on the website are not listed on the app. Needs debugging.
Can’t get set up without crashing
Impossible to pass ID check without crashing the app. Was happy with the website that is now closing so goodbye Barclaycard.
Chat is broke has been for months
The chat function on Barclaycard has been broken for months and months now and it is incredibly frustrating. I requested to cancel my My account over a year ago and it still hasn’t been done.
Rubbish!
This is such a terrible app. I resent having to use this instead of the website which has been fine. Can’t get past the security despite having valid ID. Rubbish!
Clunky , dated, lacks functions
Awful app. Dated and lagging way behind other apps. Doesn’t support Apple Pay, ridiculous method for confirming online transactions. Awful payment method - unlike other apps you can’t just connect to your bank to pay directly , have continually enter a payment card. Awful beyond your imagination.

Not Barclaycard!!
I’ve managed my Barclaycard for many years on the website with no trouble. But that, along with most branches, has been decommissioned and I have to use the app. But this isn’t a Barclaycard app - it’s just a copy of the Barclays app. Just a cost cutting measure. Compared to other banking apps I use it feels clunky and out of date. Functionality is low, for example, you can’t schedule payments. Don’t be fooled by the 4.5 rating. Check the recent reviews - they are all poor. (Access through the website is equally poor. The developers don’t seem to know the difference between a pdf and csv file!!) Time to get a new card probably!

Please let us save payment card detsils
It’s absolutely infuriating to have to key in payment card details every time I want to make a payment. If this isn’t sorted soon, I’m going to have to use an alternative

Well done to the morons who created this app! - Horrible on-boarding experience - having to repeat the process over and over - Would also advise anyone to remove camera & mic permissions from the app once set up!

Utterly useless
I could use with little to no issues after the Aug 2026 update, but since September I can't log in. Re-installing the app didn't help, it just loads, and loads, and loads... until the screen timeout (2 minutes) cancels the whole process.
I have this card for two weeks and I’m hating it
I use another app to track my expenses, however seems like I can’t link the two for “feature not available”. All the other credit cards I use work, except for this one. Tried to contact Barclaycard in the “Help” section and the only way is to call and wait for long time typing things on an answering machine. No online chat easy to find and function. I ordered this card two weeks ago and I’ll cancel it. Very poor platform, Revolut is a million times better, even AMEX.

Nightmare setting up
A throughly untested app for new users. “Use the search tool at the top of the home page…” - does not exist.

Statement error
Issues accessing statements via the app. When trying to open them the screen goes white. I then need to force shutdown the app
Useless
Trying to register, real effort to take photos of driving licence and then a video and speech recording, every time I try I get an error pop-up saying Technical Error. Tried four times. What kind of technical error? What am I supposed to do? Tried to call them but a 40 minute wait on the phone lines.

Can’t see card number
The app is terrible, you can view your own credit card number to make online purchase, the app keeps crashing out and it’s very outdated.
Impossible to pay bill on App
When i try and pay my bill the process of approving the payment in my bank and then that approval being correctly processed by the app does not work. The app is also incapable of retaining any information about the card being used, So it needs re entering every time. No error messages displayed on app so it’s unclear whether payment has been made or not.

Very poor
Surprisingly bad for a big bank company
The interface itself looks really outdated, you wouldn’t expect it from of the top UK bank. When I made a payment, it doesn’t want to save the card details, and when you press ‘OK’ to close the window, it just keeps popping up with the same message. You would have to close the app in order to use it again.
