I’ve used several IDAutomation products in the past and have been very happy with them. However, I can’t say the same for this app. I wanted to use it to verify that data encoded in the DataMatrix symbols I create are correct. The iOS version doesn’t allow me to focus on the DataMatrix symbol and as a result it can’t read it. It works great on large DataMatrix symbols. It also allows you to scan photos of barcodes, but that feature only works part of the time.

Not working on iPhone 15
Poor camera functionality
Seems to only scan data matrices. Autofocus also doesn’t work so if the code isn’t big enough from exactly 6 inches away it won’t read it. It would also be nice to implement the macro lens on newer iPhones to get close enough for smaller codes.
Perfect barcode scan app without ads
This app is free and record the barcodes in one place for downloading later. No ads is a big plus! Thank you!
