BARFLAB is a science-based raw feeding and homemade diet calculator for dogs and cats. CREATE THE DIET YOUR WAY Start with a blank plan and choose every ingredient yourself. If you want a starting point, the optional Diet Generator can prepare a proposal that remains fully editable. It is not a chatbot, and it does not use a language model to invent a recipe. A dedicated calculation engine works with nutritional data and diet constraints. ANALYZE 68 PARAMETERS LIVE BARFLAB analyzes 68 parameters as you edit the diet. Review energy, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fatty acids and important proportions without moving between spreadsheets. Clear ranges help you notice what may need attention. COMPARE AVAILABLE REFERENCE VALUES For parameters covered by any of the three references, BARFLAB compares the analysis result with the available MR, RA and SUL values from NRC 2006, FEDIAF 2021 and AAFCO 2023. All three references remain visible separately and at the same time; if one does not define a threshold, BARFLAB does not treat the missing value as zero. BARFLAB supports raw, cooked and steamed plans and uses nutrient-retention estimates to help evaluate the meal after preparation, not only before it. These estimates support planning and are not laboratory measurements.
