Fun strategy game with friends
We have a group thread of 6 of us and play this all the time on team or solo matches. Takes strategy but also has an “undo” so you can try out different moves until you find the one you want to do. Also the developers are very active on discord so it’s great to get quick feedback.

Wonderful theme awesome game! Made by a couple people that I think have a knack for fun ideas. I love that it is a single purchase with some progression unlocking stuff as you play. Really enjoy that the strategy is pretty deep. Excited to get this player count up. Telling all my friends and family about it this Christmas!

Don’t buy this cheap c$&p
This game is a joke. Poor quality graphics, the way the controls feel is pretty bad too. They could of put a bit more of an effort if they planned on charging people money for this. The fact that I paid more than $2 is disappointing. To be honest i wouldn’t pay anything knowing how bad this game is.

Great Tactics game!
I love this game. Takes me back to FFTs and Disgaea, but I like that it is based on classes like starcraft and that it is game to game rather than a level-up system. Something new and fun. Their game Card Crusade is also great.

Just got this game, and I’m having a ton of fun with it! It’s a super enjoyable strategy game with tons of different loadout varieties. Not only that, the dev of the game is a super cool and nice person. Amazing.

Amazing strategies, creative chemistry between characters, asynchronous turns gives you time to think. I love this game a lot (favorite one on my phone 🙂)

Sort of good - let down by AI
This game has a nice 8-bit design - and is similar to many other tiny war games.
It’s strength is a pretty fun unlocking system - unfortunate in that some characters require multiplayer).
It’s weaknesses are
- a truly terrible AI
- a lack of variety in characters, eg no long range mortar (with suitable power up delay), no invisibility, no mines, unlimited ammo issues, and many others.
I am keeping this game hoping for an update.

Amazing Strategy Game
While it’s not super polished like titles such as Into the Breach, it’s an amazing turn-based strategy game for mobile. The mechanics feel like the have just the right amount of depth to them. I love the multiplayer system. You don’t have to wait for them to make their move, just simply make your move, and put your device down to do something else, then come back and make your next move. I really hope this game gets expanded on with more characters and mechanics!

Cool Concept but too easy
I immediately started playing the AI on hard difficulty and I love the game and the focus on action economy, but there is simply to challenge even on hard difficulty level.
Please make this game a little more challenging so that I fell like I am accomplishing something when I win. The other game by this developer has exceptional challenge on the higher difficulty levels, so not sure why they made this one so easy.
Other than that, I like this game and look forward to updates that will make it more fun a rewarding to play.

Excellent game!!!
I’m really surprised by the simple mechanics and yet intriguing strategy and gameplay. This is a fun gem that is definitely worth checking out.
Kind of have an X-Com vibe yet it also reminds me of Uniwar.
Although Uniwar has more boards and units….the gameplay gets tedious on those insanely large boards.
However, Banard’s Star is refreshing, challenging and not overwhelming.
It’s fun and worth the price.

Sorry about that, tutorial was broken by a previous update. We just released a fix yesterday so the tutorial should be working again.

It is kind of like if chess had fewer pieces and the pieces all had different guns and they were all in space. Very fun.
Nice theory but doesn’t work at all yet
Bought this game since I love this developer’s other game (Card crusade, great!), but unfortunately I’ve been very disappointed.
The theory is nice but the game just doesn’t work; it glitches when playing against AI so the opponent just doesn’t take its turn, and won’t let me play online at all. I’ve requested a refund because this simply isn’t worth any money yet

Strategic fun
Simple to learn yet hard to master, It’s rare to find a game like this which isn’t riddled with iAP so having a pay once play whenever experience is like a breath of fresh air.
It can be played in portrait and landscape, there is pass and play, play against the AI and obviously play against others for trophies.
The basic game against others is you take your turn and await your opponents turn, a bit like sending a message. Unlike a lot of games with this playing style though, with this being a paid game it’s rare games will time out and you’re getting more constant games.
There are three different factions to choose from and each has their own unique characters, with a few locked which can be unlocked through playing and getting achievements which gives a little more challenge to some games. I will note as well, whilst these characters aren’t necessarily more powerful than the already unlocked characters, you can create new tactics for different maps and different play styles.
The community on discord seems really friendly and the devs are active there, already setting up tournaments which I can’t wait to compete in!

This game is a gem!
There are so few smart asynchronous tactics game, and even fewer on mobile. The developers are responsive, the player community is crushing me (in a good way) and I am grateful that this game exists.
