Response from developer

Wow thank you so much for your kind words! It's a labor of love, but hearing that people find my apps useful is really what keeps me going! Please reach out if there's anything I can do to improve your Barograph experience. Stay tuned for the next update which will include a Home Screen widget!

Works as described

I wrongly set it up so put in a very critical review but it was my fault for not reading the instructions .
You need to go into, settings and assign permissions .
The developer pointed this out and now it is effective and what I needed.
If you want to remove the Ad Banner there is a small payment but it does run without that .

Jackson ----original message--- The app is totally free actually (save for the ad banner). You do not have to pay to activate the barometer - the purchase is purely optional to disable the ad banner, and activate a couple optional features that only certain power users need. If it’s. not working for you, it is probably because you have the system permissions disabled that are required for the barometer data. If you contact me via the link in the app, I can walk you through getting it working for free!

The OG barometer

I find it amazing that they’re still working on this app after so many years. I first tried it back in 2013 or 2014. It’s great to see a modern user interface and the new style of home screen which they recently added. The best thing about this app is it measures the pressure in the background. I don’t get data every minute of the day, but I get enough data points during the day that I always have an idea of the pressure trend and I can spot storms before they hit.

The app can also display your relative altitude and offers an optional feature to view sea-level adjusted pressure.

What are the key features of Barograph?

Key features include real-time atmospheric pressure monitoring with dynamic graphs, customizable pressure alarms, background data logging, altitude display, push notifications for pressure changes, and the ability to export data in CSV format. An optional in-app purchase enables sea-level adjusted pressure readings.

Is Barograph free to use?

The app is free to download and use for basic features like real-time pressure monitoring and logging. However, advanced features such as sea-level adjusted pressure calculations require an optional in-app purchase.

What devices is Barograph compatible with?

Barograph is designed for iPhone and iPad devices that have a built-in barometer. It utilizes the device's hardware to provide accurate atmospheric pressure readings and charts.
