What's New in Baseline
1.1
April 30, 2026
What's new: • Experiment templates. Starting a new experiment now begins with what you're trying to learn — Pain & mobility, Sleep & recovery, Mood & focus, Body composition, Skin & appearance, Energy & vitality. We pre-fill the right measures, baseline period, and a hypothesis sentence frame for you to customize. You can still design from scratch. • Honest reporting on overlapping experiments. Running two protocols at once? Your trial report now includes a Trial Conditions section listing what overlapped, when, and which measures were shared between them. Insights and protocol detail show the same context. The shareable report is more credible because it tells the truth about confound risk instead of pretending each experiment ran in isolation. • Fixed: the "can't log until 8 PM" bug. A timezone issue was causing some evening check-ins to be saved under the wrong day, which then blocked you from logging "today" until late the next night. Resolved. Every entry is now dated to your local day. • Quieter daily reminders. The notification copy is a small rotating set of calmer prompts ("A minute for today's observation.") instead of the same nag every day. • Polish. A real error screen instead of a blank white page if anything goes wrong. Larger tab bar tap targets so you don't have to aim for the icon. A crisper "+" mark. The "Today's entry recorded" pill now matches the height of the record button, so the layout doesn't pop between days. Your data is still local-only. No accounts. No cloud. No tracking.

FAQ
What is Baseline?
Baseline is a personal research journal designed to help you honestly answer if a health protocol is working for you. It focuses on tracking your progress and presenting clear reports, rather than acting as a medical app or social network.
How does Baseline work?
You start by writing a hypothesis, then log 3-10 days of baseline measurements. During the active phase (14-56 days), you continue daily check-ins and log doses and confounders. Finally, you review a report comparing your baseline and active averages.
Is Baseline private?
Yes, Baseline is built with a local-first and private approach. Every check-in, dose, and photo stays on your device, with no accounts, cloud sync, or analytics on your health data.
What features are included in Baseline Pro?
Baseline Pro, available via subscription, unlocks unlimited concurrent experiments, CSV export of raw data, photo attachments for check-ins, up to 12 measures per experiment, and custom measures.
What are the subscription options for Baseline Pro?
Baseline Pro offers both monthly ($4.99/month) and yearly ($39.99/year) subscription plans. You can cancel anytime through your Apple ID subscription settings.
Does Baseline have ads?
No, Baseline does not contain advertisements. The app is free to download and use, with an optional subscription for Pro features.
What devices is Baseline available on?
Baseline is currently supported on iPhone and iPod devices, with an age rating of 12+.
How often is Baseline updated?
The latest version of Baseline is 1.1, and it was last updated on April 30, 2026. This indicates a recent update frequency.
