Compilations
I purchased unlimited compilations yet I try a simple 3 line program and it still says I need to purchase more. Something isn’t working. It could probably be fixed?
Doug
I agree. Why pay for an ap right off the bat?
Garbage - don’t waste your time
So apparently you need to buy a number of compilations before it will let you compile and run ANYTHING, because the “free” app lets you compile ZERO times before you have to pay
I can’t imagine how many potential purchases didn’t occur, because you can’t even test the apps function ONCE before it asks you for money - I wouldn’t mind paying for the something that I knew would actually work, but the developer doesn’t seem to understand the basics of marketing their own product
Their loss I guess…

Not worth it
You have to pay to be able to compile
Pro Apple Basics Con No trial period
I really like how your program supports the classic Apple Basics. Why require the user to purchase compiles right off the bat? How do I know if I like the interpreter or not? I think it’s a great way to have money coming in. Maybe the first five or six tries are free.
Don’t waste your time
This app simply does not work. Support is useless.
Buy Before You Try
Like any programming language, you need to test its functionality and fitness for purpose. With so programming languages and variations on each, finding the right language and “flavour” that suits you is important.
That’s where this app lets you down. Despite being free to download, and by association, free to try...well you can’t. The payment model works on the number of times you compile and run your program. From initial download you get one go, and that’s it. You can purchase a further 100 compilations for 99p, or go for unlimited for 3.99. No problem, but as you can’t try out the app, you have to pay just to find out. If that’s the payment model the author wants to use, fine, but at least give the customer 50-100 free runs just to see if it’s right for them.
Impossible to recommend as you can’t try the app out. Imagine having to buy a car outright, before you can take it on a test drive!

Rubbish. Avoid
Offers no functionality without paying for the app. Only once you have paid for it do you discover is doesn’t work at all. A rip-off
Won't compile unless you pay
Other than that is great!
Bugs
IF C >= BV(n) THEN B(n) = B(n) + 1:C = C - BV(n)
This should only execute the second statement if condition is met, but it always executed it.

A TOTAL PIECE OF POOP COVERED JUNK
Do not waste your time and effort to download this app,it’s just a trick! Even though it’s free to download, you have to pay to see the output (results)! I even went to a retro computer museum and used BBC minis that ran acorn BASIC and the only one thing that you would have to pay for is the entry!!!!

Input
Input statement does not allow you to input with the keyboard.
Not worth it!!
So you are paying for your program to be compiled in the internet and must not take too long to run!
Read the reviews first
You need to have a network connection to be able to use the app. I had bought it as an app to practice on when I wasn't online. Paid 99p for the unlimited compiles.
Perhaps I have misunderstood the app. I assumed it was going to be a Basic Emulator that ran on the iPad, but perhaps it compiles of the iPad, who knows.
Needs a rethink guys.

A bit pointless really!
The App is free to download but totally unusable without paying for compilations (yes, even one!). This means that it costs money to even evaluate the app. Let’s be honest... although there are a few of us actually downloading this app, it’s not for any really valuable use since Basic is about as current a programming language as Latin or Ancient Greek are spoken ones.
- Not worth downloading or paying for in my opinion.
*Note to developer. If you want to charge money for an app, be clear from the outset and sell it for what you think it’s worth. There’s nothing more annoying that wasting time and bandwidth only to discover ‘hidden’ costs. If a user wants to pay for a piece of software they’ll do so based on the value and financial cost both best stated up front.

Input command fails
The Input command does not work even on the sample programme provided. I foolishly paid for unlimited compilations in spite of the other reviews. I wish I had not bothered. Rubbish!
Works for me
I just wrote a nested double loop program to check some math.
Worked fine, 16 digit accuracy.
The compiler has some “features” that need to be corrected:
The line ‘Print 3*4^2’ outputs 144 instead of 48, incorrect precedence of arithmetic operators.
There’s no ATN(.) function though it’s an easy one to program.
The editor isn’t informative and doesn’t show where the programming errors actually are so a bit of prior experience is useful.
Haven’t used BASIC for 20 years. This version is close to the original Dartmouth BASIC.

Bad compiler.
First off, for the others looking at the reviews, If you want something to program on, just use Apple ][js. Its on the internet. Now for a message directed to the developer. Before you put in a lazy, automated message, I would like you to explain how in the world you think that the "pay before you use" thing works. Hell, Winzip lets you use their program for free; EVEN IF IT PROMPTS YOU TO BUY. Why not do that instead?

F**k this app
You have to buy stuff in order to even use it! 0/10
