Top reviews

A helpful app for learning the bass guitar.

Things I like about this app.
1. Every scale can be accessed in one location.
2. Bass Patterns are groovy.
3. Songs Riffs are inspiring.
and great customer service.
Thank for developing it.

Response from developer

Thanks. We hope you are still enjoying this app and that your bass guitar playing is improving.

Good, could be perfect

Would be perfect if the app could open GuitarPro / tab files. Please add!!!!! Let us choose the songs we want to learn. Thanks!

Response from developer

Thanks. Send us an email with the bass lines you wish to learn and we'll include them.

Scale degrees

Nice fun learning app. Can we get scale degrees as a Note Name selection? Would be helpful leading scales.

Response from developer

Thanks. Yes you can! Please go to the Settings and select Jam Interval Labels. Then in the Jam module, you can get the scale degrees. Please download the latest updates.

It’s ok

Wish it actually sounded like bass and not some arcade game.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. We have sampled some Fender Jazz and Fender Precision bass sounds in the latest releases.

Useful App

Helpful response from developer that resolved an issue with the sound. Early days but I think this will prove a very useful app.

Response from developer

Another user had this issue. It was resolved by unmuting their device. Swipe for the control panel.

Play speed

I was enjoying this app and learning to play bass when I encountered a non-responsive play speed option in the settings page - for example, 1% plays at the normal speed of 100% - which is not helpful learning!!!

Response from developer

Yes. You are absolutely right. Very sorry about this. We will make a fix in the next release.

Not for the young

I am trying to find a refund link as most of the music i quit listening to 25 years ago would like it if it weren't it were more natural.

Response from developer

There are lots of modern songs as well. Let us know which songs you would like (most of the catalogue has been added this way) and we will add it.

Awesome...but...

This is a fantastic app. It has been the most helpful out of around 6 or so that I have.
It could be a little better if it allowed development feedback for future versions - it could easily rise to being a Top Seller!
I'd like to see:
1) it remembers the last key and pattern used when re-opened. It
2) the 'note range' selector and 'speed selector' on the same screen (@ bottom of page- where the ads of the free version existed).
3) 'Feedback for further development' button in the menu.
---
The price is very cheap and the quality is fantastic. Go for it support the makers!

Response from developer

Thanks for the suggestions. The Feedback for further development is offered in the Options, so perhaps we need to think about that.

Basspro

Lost the sound to the app. Unable to restore. Therefore useless.

Needs more features

I really like this app, but I play a 5 string bass. I wish it would show a 5 string, even though the current songs don't use the 5th string, it is a visual thing for me, when I try the song on my bass I keep using the top string because that is what it shows, but I am off a string because the way it looks on my iPad that only uses 4 strings.
I also wish it would highlight only the notes that you got wrong when showing you what you were suppose to play compared with what you played that way it would be easier to see your mistakes, still need to show the whole song of the notes but highlight the correct note and then highlight what note you were suppose to play, if each mistake could be highlighted a different color with the same to match the color of the note you were suppose to play. For example red highlighted note for what is suppose to be played and then red highlighted of the note you actually played and then a different color highlighted for the next mistake you made and the matching correct highlighted note that you were suppose to play. I hope you understand what I am trying to say. Also wish it had and option and place to get ahold of you to have suggestions and features, us customers would like to see in the app, I hope someone from the creators of this app see my review, I have no other way to say my opinion like other apps have with open communication to each other. My iPad has to get reset from the beginning which erases all the apps on my iPad and have to put each app back on my iPad and unless it is usually hooked up to facebook it loses everything you already did on the game. Make these changes and I'll give it 5 stars.
Thank you

Songs Not Complete

The songs do not have the complete parts. This would be a good app if the songs included all of the changes (i.e. verse, chorus, bridge, break). For example, Good Times only includes the main riff but not the bridge. This seems to be the case with every song I tried.

Not for a newbie, but helps you strengthen your skills

Great to help a bass player who has some knowledge, increase their knowledge and skills.

One Problem: on the scales the system plays a scale with an Eb and when you play it back from the fretboard they call it a D#. So you get it "wrong" even though they are technically the same note. If you could fix that, I would go 5 stars.

Tutoring in this app means did you get it right.

No coaching or teaching, just listen to the sample song and click the screen to test your recollection. Wide selection of songs adds a star and I may find more use for it I knew squat about playing bass.

Good/helpful app

This app is pretty helpful allthough it would be nice if the was a section to teach on how to read sheet music and convert to playing and if you would add more songs/bands such as metalica, motley crue, and iron maiden to name a few

Awesome App

This app is great. Hopefully in future updates, the developers will add a feature to slow down the song even further, for us beginners!

Basspro

Nice collection of bass lines. I wish the tones sounded like a bass-not a keyboard!

Great tutor!

Really great idea implemented very well. Makes it easy to learn bass.

Great app !

Like to see vaughn mason and crew: bounce rock skate bass line

Muito Bom

Procurei na internet algo assim e nunca encontrei! Adorei por ser simples direto e funcional! 5 estrelas bem dadas!

Good intentions...

The app is meant well, I think. However for almost all the songs within, it really isn't the bassline that we are being shown. It's a melody line or the guitar riff that is being played. As a bass player I was hoping for the actual basslines to be present. A little disappointed but hopefully in the future this will be fixed. Otherwise it's useless to me.
