About

Type faster. Aim cleaner. Win the battle. Battle Type transforms typing practice into a neon arcade competition. Build speed and accuracy in solo runs, race your own best performances in Ghost Challenges, or face real players through Game Center and nearby device battles. CHOOSE YOUR CHALLENGE • Words: type passages across headlines, quotes, books, poetry, speeches, music, arts, and pop culture • Numbers: sharpen numeric speed and control • Glyphs: decode custom symbol sets from easy to expert A FRESH PASSAGE EVERY MATCH Words battles draw live text matched to the era and category you picked, credited on screen and never served twice. Speeches come from real transcripts. Play offline and Battle Type falls back to its own written passages, so a match is always ready. BATTLE YOUR WAY • Train solo with sessions from 30 seconds to 3 minutes • Invite a friend through Game Center, or match with whoever is searching • Start encrypted peer-to-peer battles with nearby players • Rematch the same opponent instantly with RUN IT BACK • Challenge saved ghosts from your strongest runs EVERY CHARACTER COUNTS Every correct keystroke scores one character, and the reach some characters demand pays a separate bonus — punctuation and capitals earn +1, numbers and symbols +2. Characters, then total bonus, then errors decide the match, set your personal best, and choose which run becomes your ghost. SEE EVERY IMPROVEMENT Track live characters, bonus, accuracy, errors and progress during each run. The finish screen leads with the battle you just played, draws both runs on one pace chart, and shows exactly which figure settled it. CHASE THE SIGNAL Unlock more than 40 badges for speed, accuracy, perfect runs, long combos, prompt types, eras, categories, multiplayer wins, and ghost victories. Whether you are building keyboard confidence or chasing triple-digit WPM, Battle Type makes every keypress feel like part of the fight.

FRESH TEXT, EVERY SINGLE MATCH Words battles now pull a live passage from Wikipedia, matched to the era and category you chose credited on screen, and never the same text twice. Speeches come from real transcripts on Wikisource instead of prose about them. A SCORE THAT SAYS WHAT YOU DID Every correct keystroke is exactly one character. The extra reach some characters take is paid separately as BONUS: punctuation and capitals are worth +1, numbers and symbols +2. The battle screen names each category and what it pays while you type, so you always know what a stretch of text is worth. ONE LADDER DECIDES EVERY MATCH Characters, then total bonus, then errors. That is what settles a battle, what sets your personal best, and what promotes a run to your ghost, one rule everywhere instead of three different ones. A REBUILT FINISH SCREEN Results now open with the battle you just played: outcome, grade, character score, match time and category in a single card, with the replay button built into it. Head-to-head reads as the ladder itself, whichever side won a rung lights up, and the pace chart draws both runs, yours and theirs. BATTLE PEOPLE YOU KNOW • Game Center invites finally arrive. Send one from the channel screen or the lobby, and accept one straight into a match. • SEARCH FOR ANYONE now runs inside Battle Type instead of a full-screen sheet, and tells you how many players are actually queued. • RUN IT BACK rematches the opponent you just faced, online or nearby, instead of dropping you back in the queue with a stranger. SHARPER EVERYWHERE • The home type selector shows what you would be typing and reads as swipeable. • Both progress meters in a battle now measure the same thing at the same scale. • Timed matches size their passage properly and always end on a whole word. • Live typing rides a faster channel, so a lossy connection cannot stall your opponent's progress bar. • Leaving a match tells your opponent immediately, instead of leaving them on a countdown that was always going to end in MATCH ABANDONED.
