The best card game I've ever played
I don't usually write reviews but Battle Waves genuinely deserves one. I'm deep into this game and still discovering new strategies.
Before each battle you're choosing between card packages. Earth forged to slow all enemy units or Forgotten Outsiders for a full damage boost? Every pick shapes how your whole run plays out and you can reroll if you don't like your options.
The battle itself is a real time lane combat where you’re managing mana, deploying cards, fusing duplicates to power them up, and ranking up mid run. There's always a decision to make and it never gets old.
The campaign keeps it fresh with multiple Acts and Chapters each with completely different characters like Forest Guardian, Bebe Gob, Earheart, and Corporal Griffith. Every card has stunning artwork and its own personality which just makes it that much more fun.
The store is worth checking out too!!! The Legendary Dragon Pack unlocks entirely new factions like Ancient Dragons and Corrupt Cabal that completely change how you play.
Oh and this entire game was built by one solo developer. Download it and support real indie gaming.

Endless strategic fun
I had the pleasure of getting to play test this game for a couple months before launch. I did so for free because I find the game so entertaining and I wanted to help make it even better. There is endless variety with the various factions you can choose and the second to second gameplay of choosing whether to play cards, draw cards, fuse them, rank up, etc. I’ve played for numerous hours and the game has always felt fresh and exciting never boring and stale. Endless campaign means you never run out of content and the PvP is extremely fun. The gameplay is like a mix of Slay the Spire, Hearthstone, and Plants Vs Zombies while also being unique in a lot of ways.
It’s incredible that this game was built by a solo developer and I think it’s so important to support indie studios right now. I strongly recommend this game to all, especially people who love strategy games and card battlers.
