Love the game but needs an update
I've had this game since the first gen iPhone. I've really enjoyed playing it over the years. It can get very addictive. I bought a "flashier" version of battleship as well, just to see which I preferred. I prefer this one. I really like that it is fairly simple and doesn't have a bunch of annoying, time and battery wasting graphics. They need to update it though. Some of the features no longer work on the current iOS. I miss seeing my stats at the end of the game!

Was fun and 4 stars, but doesn't work on WiFi any more
As others have noted, WiFi multiplayer has been broken for some time. Is it 3GS or the current iPhone OS 3.1.3 or what? How about an update to fix multiplayer play??
Crashes on multiplayer
My friend just bought this so we could play multiplayer. Kept crashing and couldn't finish one game! Fail. Update this or make it free because it's not fully functional. Who wants to play battleship with just a computer?

There should be a mode where two people could play on one iPhone such as taking turns and passing back and forth the iPhone. An internet mode would be nice, as the other battleship game made by another developer has an internet option for the same amount of money. A problem with the LAN mode is that both people need the game in order to play it. Developer, you should make a network version of this game that is free and only lets the user play over the local network.

Please add cells firing. Add PT boat fires up to three cells, battleship five cells, submarine four cells, destroyer four cells and aircraft carrier up to eight cells. Add three sonars for aircraft carrier, PT boat, battleship, destroyer and submarine. Add firing cells flying, add three turns for each opponents and please allow us to change spots during the battle. Please allow us to choose any ship to open fire or launch. Please allow us to fire the same spot we have fired just incase the enemy moved their ships. Add action song from battleship fleet command for the main menu and for during the battle. Add ship noises but really really loud. Add islands and Naval Bases. Please allow us to choose any ship.

When will this be Available for the iPad???????????????
I bought this for my iPhone & LOVED IT. The graphics are clean & the gameplay is awesome. Please, please, please make this available for the iPad, because the ones available now for the iPad just don't compare.

This game rocks! I love being able to fire multiple times, it brings a whole new strategy to the game. Please, please, please port this over to the iPad as well!

You guys promised more multiplayer options a very long time ago. When are they coming? Have you forgotten? I'd be happy to pay another buck just to have mutliplayer over Bluetooth.

Wifi doesn't work!
This was a very good app on the first gen iPhone. Wifi actually worked (most of the time). But it has never been updated and wifi on the 3GS doesn't work at all. Connects and then disconnects. The reason to get this game is to play with a friend over a network. Save your money until it gets an update and works consistently over wifi... and/or gets updated to work over Bluetooth. Game is well done otherwise, but multiplayer is currently hosed.

Wifi fun at last
Looking for a fun multiplayer game for the wife and I we came across this classic. Price a little high but wifi play is worth every penny. Please add some better sound effects eeeeeoooooowww boom. whooop whooop etc then it would be a six star app.
Great idea, not so great execution.
App looks great but the connectivity over wifi has been shoddy at best. I seem to be stuck in a loop where I keep joining my own game. Restarted the phone and the issue is still occuring. Make this available over Bluetooth like some dollar apps and fix the networking issues and it will be a great app.

Needs better multiplayer options...
Definitely fun and a great Battleship game, but it desperately needs to enable multiplayer over Bluetooth. That would get it five stars in my book.
