It’s like no thought went into the UI, R&D and testing of the app
Does not connect
The actual bbqube device is great. Set it and forget it. The app is a waste of time. Won’t connect to bluetooth or wifi. Worked the first couple if times I used it and hasn’t since.
Temp controller great, this app not so much
Hard if not impossible to get/keep this app connected to the BBQube controller. Hopefully this app will be improved in the future. I continue to love the controller but the BBQube app is less than worthless after years to fix it.
Setting Temperature Alerts
Yes, I can’t set any temperature alerts other than the ones that are preprogrammed in for different types of meats and their degree of doneness. You can enter in a number but there is no way to get out of the keyboard mode.
App is crap
Love the controller but the app is ridiculously bad. Can’t even use it on the iPhone 8. No way to exit out of the keyboard when setting probe temp. No way to connect to WiFi. The developers should be thoroughly embarrassed and immediately remove the app until it has been fixed and verified.
Needs updates, has worked in the past. Lost of potential.
I just can’t get it to work at the moment frustration me making me check to see if there’s an update because I can’t even scan for Bluetooth devices.
Temp control is great. The rest needs work.
The device did a great job keeping the temperature within about 5degrees. However, I am not sure if it is the software or the Bluetooth connection but my phone would not stay connected to the device. Also, the app would reset each time it lost connection losing my temperature settings. Thankfully I opened the app to check the meat temp at the right time otherwise I would have overcooked everything.

Awesome controller
Love the BBQube controller. Works as advertised. Most impressed.
Set your bbq temp and walk away. It’s that good. Temp variability is seriously tight. You can have both an awesome Sunday night dinner and be able to get stuff done other than babysit the cook.
The app works fine. Connects every time without fail.
I’d like two things improved;
The graph vertical (temp) scale needs to be smarter or editable. I’m doing a cook to 135. I don’t want the graph to scale to 400.
I’d like to be able to exit the app without resetting the cook data back to the beginning.
Fix those and this is an amazing BBQube system.

Won’t stay connected
App disconnects constantly. Basically worthless for anything other than spot checking the temp as needed.
