App will not load or open
BC Wildfire Utility
Never gets out of loading mode despite waiting and waiting and waiting. Have deleted it and te-downloaded from App Store to no effect
Too slow to react
Although the app is great when it gets things right, it’s often much too slow in its reactions.
If I get a news report on TV about a fire threatening a town, and then cannot find it in the app, it’s too slow.
If I click on a listed fire, and it’s dated a year ago, at .2 hectares, you know that fire has to be extinguished and shouldn’t be shown in the app; too slow to react.

I have been using the other official BCWildfire app but find this one more informative and updates quicker. For example it told me how far away the fire was from my location and then the terrain map showed exactly where fire is as well as me. It also has a predictive lightning map updated every 10 minutes. It also has a predictive precipitation map layer. Thank you!

Constant bugs and late updates
Kinda inconvenient being a firefighter trying to track fires in my area off hours when the maps hardly zoom in and you take out the satellite positioning every 3rd day. Fix it and I’ll fix my review
Needs work
Great info but extremely difficult to scroll on the map to move to different locations
Worked for a week
Then the most important aspect the map was shut off with a notice saying unless someone gives us $3000 this map will remain off. Useful while it worked useless now.

I’ve never had a problem with the program not loading. The map comes up a lot faster than the BC fire website. I think this program is great!
Very good app, but just one more thing
It is a great app! You you get your reports much faster than the website! Also, what is up with the low ratings for this app, it is more like a 4 star app, not a 2.5 star app (in my opinion). If there is one more optional thing the developer can do, is can you add support for iPhone 11 Pro Max screen?

The app itself requires... a lot of internal polishing... to put it nice. For me works ok, just a bit weird here and there.

Better than BC Wildfires Website
This app provides more info in a single location than the B.C. Wildfires website. Good job for an Alpha build.
It’s unfortunate that some have had a problem loading the app. It works fine for me on several devices. I would suggest those that have had problems perhaps try rebooting their device and try again and see if that resolves it. You are missing a good app.

Don’t bother
It just sits on loading screen and does nothing. Might as well watch the log burning channel on Shaw

Tried 2x to open app, all it would say was “loading”. Then on the 3rd time was just a black screen. Deleted app.

The app won’t load, useless...better just use google and see maps of fire there.

Great last year but can’t get past loading screen. Animation is nicer this year, too bad I can’t get to the actual app any more.
