This app was such a good idea, so useful and makes it so much easier to do research on which beaches to go to !!! 10/10

First off, 3 reasons why I love this app enough to leave a review this detailed and pretty w emojis!!
1🌴- Beach conditions
It shows the conditions for the beach all in one spot! Weather🏖️, uv☀️, temp🌡️, red tide🍂, wave hight🌊, tide🏝️, expected flag colors🏳️, cloud cover ☁️, crowd density👥, and more.
It also puts all that into one overview with a score ranging from poor - excellent conditions that’s super handy🙏🙏😁
2🦀 - Education and Preservation
It also has a very helpful educational section that I enjoyed going through, even tho I’m a local since birth, I learned some things which is very cool!
Beach education is more important then ever with the influx of tourists and ppl moving to FL🫶
Not only for their safety, but for the future of our states ecosystems and wildlife!!!!

I like that users add all the photos, reviews, and can even add updates and reports to current beach conditions❤️
I’ve gone on google reviews and been catfished by so many beaches bc the photos r all professional photography w color grading, here u see what ur getting!! And I enjoy when people update what’s going on!
Next, my personal experiences and thoughts with beachlens!
🫡The expected flag color was actually v helpful to my friend and I today, there was no flags up so we checked beachlens, went from green to yellow flag, We r experienced swimmers so we r fine but having this app on hand was very helpful today🙂↕️
Same with the UV
I also feel happy leaving reviews for my favorite beaches!
I leave reviews and put beach updates in the app as much as I can bc it’s amazing and I want more ppl to use it!!🫶
, and if you see this, I think it would be cool if there was a section on beaches about seashell and sea-glass hunting! I love collecting sea shells! I’d love to see what kinds people find and how good certain beaches are for finding them!

BeachLens is an excellent app! I absolutely love all the information it provides. Even though it’s a new app, it is already very helpful, easy to use, and packed with useful features. The information is clear, accurate, and makes planning beach trips much easier. I’m excited to see how it continues to grow. Highly recommended!

Parking Info Absent/Incorrect
I had high hopes for this app. It covers everything well except for one of beachgoers’ biggest expenses and stressors traveling to the beach—parking. Every parking lot just says $2.50/hr. All of them. It’s wrong too.

i love this app it’s so easy to use and so useful for living in fl especially if you’re going to beaches all the time!! I love that it shows literally everything you need to know:)
This app is what the people needed.
The app is simple and easy to use and understand. I hope in the future there is a way to connect beach locations to third party services on Apple Maps similar how things on Apple Maps have yelp or foursquare connected to it. It would be superb to harness for more sign ups and more exposure for this great app.

Missing information.
So I love the idea of this app! Don’t get me wrong. It’s got the barebones of the information. Definately something to build on. I can only assume that the overview data is being scraped from other websites. Not much else is listed.
Is the overview data real time? Even if it’s not, the weather is easy to look up. As a life long Floridian, I’m looking for new beaches to explore, however I want to know the important stuff before committing to the drive. Let’s see the amenities, most definitely the parking. Parking would be the most important.
Yeah we can zoom in on the map, but give me a listing of places and their costs.
I’ll keep my eye on this app, as I do believe that it has a TON of potential.

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback! We’re only about 2 months into launching BeachLens and we don’t use AI, so there’s still a lot we’re actively improving and it takes time. Amenities, parking details, costs, and more beach-specific information are all things we’re working to expand. Also we get our data from NOAA, FWC, FDEP, etc., and they update about every 6 minutes to every 8 days for things like red tide status. We appreciate you giving us a try and sharing your ideas as they help shape our roadmap. Thanks for sticking with us, and we hope to earn that updated review in the future!

hated having to search for a long time just to try and find out if a beach had red tide or how high the waves are. this app has a lot of useful features to ensure you have a good experience at the beach.
