I’ve been looking for a companion to Beancount and this is THE best I’ve come across. Feature packed, practically bug free, and handles my complex includes perfectly! Make entering my transactions while on the go a dream.

Bug-free beancount implementation for iOS!

This app is wonderful! It’s full featured and practically bug free! The user interface is easy to understand and aesthetically pleasing. I only wish it was possible to change the app icon to something a little bit more serious! I like our friendly bean friend but he makes my home screen look a bit less professional than I would like.

Amazing Beancount app

Was able to easily import my main.bean and have it sync. I love the Shortcuts integration that allows me to easily add a transaction on the go with the action button. Can get a nice view of net worth and can view and drill down on past data. UI is nice and it’s simple to move around.

promising app, but has a big bug and collects user data

the app shows promise. However, no feedback is provided to the user if the beancount files are invalid, such as an unbalanced transaction. This causes all of the analytic features of the app to be unreliable without any way of knowing.
Additionally, the app attempts to connect to crashlytics.com. Clear violation of the what the app claims.

The issue of invalid ‘beancount files,’ such as those with unbalanced transactions, can be addressed by validating the ledger within the app. This validation process helps ensure the accuracy and integrity of the ledger. Regarding crashlytics.com, the app only connects to it to collect crash reports, which are used to improve app stability. It does not collect any ledger or user financial data. Additionally, the app can be used completely offline by disabling internet access, allowing for full local operation without any data transmission.

Great application! It integrates seamlessly with my Ledger files and complements Fava perfectly. A useful enhancement would be adding support for filtering accounts and transactions using regex, similar to what's available in Fava. Thank you.

使用中有如下建议：1、账户页面显示和交易登记时的账户选择列表的排序最好能优先显示总账科目，然后通过点击总账科目显示二级科目，再通过点击二级科目显示三级科目。现在的列示是按开账的时间顺序，不是很好用（当然，也许是我自己没找到设置的方法） 2、一直没找到编制预算的地方？3、无法生成期间报表（比如日报、月报）目前只有日记账可以选择日历查看期间信息；4、iPad端无法建帐；5、手机端导出文件无法导入iPad端。
因为本人是会计出身，非常适应复式记账而且这个应用不上传，隐私性好，所以直接买了。可是无法生成期间报表的话根本没法用。请开发人员尽快完善。

非常感谢您的建议. 1.现在确实是列表+search 的方式, 有测试过折叠层级太多(iPhone屏幕宽度不大)使用体验不是很好,后续会考虑增加或优化展示方式. 2.在增加条目的位置有个选项是budget.(目前只支持beancount官方的budget写法) 我们会持续优化使用体验,请关注后续版本更新, 非常欢迎提出意见,随时联系我们,谢谢.

Slight issues importing my existing beancount file but made it match the “sample data” in the templates and just renamed it to main.bean and replaced the beanwise file. Works wonderfully. Glad to finally have free access to beancount on mobile. Almost resorted to alternative PTA options ;)
