5 stars ⭐️

Very good app really got us exercising more often and really fun for the family.

Beat boxes

There is only 19 beat boxer how am I going almost 100 miles just to get beat box or gems just for point that’s unacceptable

Community spirit

Had the best evening out beating the streets together walking, scooting and plenty of laughter!

Really good

Great app good experience and love the app

Love it but

..the majority of the beat boxes are not near the area that we live or near the school. Also we found one in a secluded area possibly it was safe but if my child was older wouldn’t want him to go alone there!

Awful

An incredibly awful app, apparently every single username in the world is taken, can’t remember if I have an account and won’t even let me reset a password. Awful.

Fabulous

App is a bit clunky but serves its purpose !

Play again

Need to do this more often different locations in Colchester

Hi

It is very confusing

Beat the Street

It’s fun and it gets you walking and more, and I think you should not drive
Play normally don’t beat the system

Great fun!

The whole family are enjoying being active and meeting fellow “tappers”in this wonderful game whilst also gaining points for Wheels for All, a great charity with which I volunteer.

App not user friendly

App is extremely frustrating to use. Very annoying for something which should be fun with the kids as I’m spending so much time on my phone messing about with the app issues

Room for improvement

* Doesn’t keep me logged in.

* Doesn’t remember that I don’t want to see schools or distribution points.

* When schools and distribution points are shown, clicking on a beat box in their vicinity pops up details of the school or distribution point instead of the beat box – super annoying. Zooming in fixes it but it’s fiddly and a faff.

* Doesn’t consistently keep the map centred on my location when walking around. Sometimes it stays centred for a while, but not all of the time. More fiddling and faff.

* Whilst the people obviously cheating (due to ridiculously high scores) are eventually removed it’s not easy to report them, and the app should be changed to prevent that type of blatant cheating to start with. Literally nobody is genuinely getting 5000 gem points a day.

* When I first installed the app I found it difficult to find the instructions how to play. I’m playing solo, nobody else to ask or show me. Found instructions eventually but it wasn’t obvious.

* Would be helpful for the map to rotate based on the direction my phone is pointing instead of sticking to north.

* Would be helpful for every beat box and gem to have a counter above it, showing a choice of: never visited flag, daily visit total, all-time visit total. Info is captured by the app so why can’t we see it? Would help us to identify which we haven’t yet visited.

* Your records section: claims my longest streak is 1 day. It isn’t. I’ve played every day bar one.

* Your progress section: average and today are apparently identical. Pretty sure they’re not.

B

Too competitive, too long and to much cheating

BTS

Unaware what this was as school handed out later than the start date. I registered the cards and it soon become addictive. My children ask can we walk the dog, go out for scooter/bike ride even in the rain. Which is great as it’s less screen time stuck indoors moaning “I’m Bored”. Fresh air and exercise is what is needed and makes everyone that bit happier. Just wish it carries on and not got an end date.

Brilliant

I love this! Brickbat idea to get everyone moving more. Me abs my son look forward to finding more boxes

Drains battery quickly

The idea is great but poorly implemented. The app itself needs optimising properly as it eats the battery too quickly.

Mr CPV12

Great idea great fun keeps the body fit and mind active

Love this but

During this game the school called st pats have been cheating they’ve been driving to the beat boxes so yeah it’s unfair

Great game with a rubbish app

App drains the battery like no other; it’s ultra-slow to update the points, location or just pressing a button; it constantly asks if I’m driving (when jogging, cycling or even walking with the phone on top of a buggy!)
