I’m Back Baby!
Let me be clear, this app is really, really good. That being said, it use to crash a lot. But I’ve recently given it another chance and I honestly, honestly can say… it HAS NOT CRASHED since I’ve been back. I believe the last update really made a difference. I hate crashes because they pull me out of the mood to create. This app has regained and renewed my faith in it. Now, if they will continue that structure with maybe another update, which is more of a way to just confirm they haven’t abandoned the DAW like so many other great apps… I’m all in! And YES… I’ll give it that 5th Star!

One of the best for iOS
This is actually a real good app for iPad and it’s been out for quite some time. I’ve been tinkering with it for a few months and I’m really impressed. I hope INTUA continues to expand on its capabilities.
Simply Amazing!!!
I started using BeatMaker 3 as a sketch pad when I’m out and have ideas to create when I get to my home studio. Now I’m creating complete sessions solely on my iPad with BeatMaker3. The sampling is simply amazing!
Crashes after update 3.0.17
Anyway to get version 3.0.16? I have an older iPad with iOS 12 that I only used for Beatmaker3. It auto updated and crashes on opening now. Tried restarting device, reinstalling app. Nothing has worked. Would be great if I can get it to work again.
Can’t use it
It’s buggy. The pitch and mod wheels jump all over the place causing the audio to stutter. It’s been a problem for a while now and I couldn’t get a refund. So, money in the trash I guess.
Good with a great potential
The UI is simplicity and great for lazy creators such as myself, but there are some areas that are lacking. Mainly the sounds/instruments available- even in the store- are severely limited and “synth” dominated. The bundles are affordable but they mostly seem to be the same sounds altered with different effects. Guitars, strings, organs, winds, bells, vocals and other instruments are poorly represented if at all. And if you*ve had BeatMaker 2 your purchased library DOES NOT TRANSFER which is a major FAIL as the store for that app no longer exists. ALL of my purchases for that app are gone. If you’re looking for workstations such a Korg Triton or Roland Motif keyboard would offer, you won’t find them here. Severely stifling for musicians who don’t have instrument sampling or creating skills. Quantizing still needs work, but is manageable. Plug-in’s are confusing as well. Haven’t found success with getting that to work. It’s good app to start with, but if you’re a more dedicated creator look elsewhere. It has room for growth, but doesn’t show that it actually will. More likely that there’ll be a BeatMaker 4 and all the time and money you’ve spent here will be wasted.

So BeatMaker is a unstoppable work of art , still beatmaker2 rocks also ;) makes me feel like a frequency god & that is a amazing tool even for sampling
THE BEST EVER
I have been consistently using BM3 since 2019. Better than FL STUDIO, and that’s not a knock to FL, that is where I started making beats in 2001, but BM3 is the best product I’ve ever used to make music. As a person on the go, I’m able to make music ANYWHERE, and the quality is unmatched. 10/10
The Only Sampler I need!
As an iPad producer this has been my go to solution for production since it was released. I have yet to find a solution for sampling better for my workflow than BeatMaker 3. I wish it would get regular updates. I come across bugs or issues I’d love to be addressed. But even with that… It’s still an integral part of how I work on my craft as a producer.
