Fijne app om stabiliteit op ritme te trainen

De app is eenvoudig te gebruiken en meet het ritme van je muziek, zodat je de stabiliteit daarvan kunt meten en trainen.

Pretty Nice!

As a songwriter this is a cool app. Gets you in the ballpark of bpm real fast. I usually have to adjust logic drummer just a smidge but not much. Very useful in a creative sense!

Easy to use

Just open the app and play

Fantastic drumming tool

This app is a game changer wish Iโ€™d had it years ago, I canโ€™t recommend it enough to any drummers, my band mates love it too. Thx for creating it ๐Ÿ‘

Accurate for Guitar?

I'm trying to use this to get faster at playing guitar and I'm comparing it to my metronome. The beat detection (for me bpm of picking speed) seems inaccurate. Anyone have success with this or suggestions? I'd love for this to work, would be a great tool.

Hot Phone

Used for about 90 minutes while practicing with my ensemble and my iPhone 15 pro was hot to the touch when we were done. Donโ€™t know how hot but uncomfortably warm. Didnโ€™t check battery drain.

Awesome for guitar rhythm

This is exactly what I was looking for because Iโ€™m struggling using a metronome on strum patterns. I can set the target to a songs BPM and practice going through the chord progression over and over and over until my ears and muscle memory kicks in.

New version makes this superior

Gigging musician here. Just started using it, but Iโ€™d say this version makes the Beat Mirror app superior to other tempo detectors that I and bandmates have previously bought and used. Seems to be very accurate. Displays tempo and draws a line in real time. Two different zoom settings. Does fine with 3/4 time also when some others do not. Target tempo is a standout feature, with an illuminated strip showing when youโ€™re staying close. Havenโ€™t used the range option, because for our use itโ€™s way too broad, even though you can slide the range up and down. Wish one could further customize the range to better zoom in on the tempo graph. But overall, really like it so far.

Great app just have one improvement to mention

I work at a recording studio and use this app all the time to find the proper BPM of songs. Itโ€™s golden about 95% of the time. The only issue I run into is with tracks where the BPM lands on a decimal (for example, 120.5). In those cases, the app rounds up or down and doesnโ€™t display the decimal point, which can throw me off briefly during a session.

It would be super helpful if a future update added a setting to toggle whether BPM decimals are displayed. That way, users who need the precision can see it right away without second-guessing. Aside from that, the app is fantastic and worth the money.

Great app

Have been using for 5 years

Great app

I am an intermediate drummer and this app helps me improve my timing. It is one step up from a metronome, BM shows how my timing can waiver and how to bring it back to the speed I want.

Essential Tool!

BeatMirror should be famous.

There are two tools EVERY musician who wants to improve their tempo needs: a metronome and BeatMirror. A metronome trains you to (re)sync with an external reference. BeatMirror shows you what your internal tempo is and how (un)stable it is.

The app interprets tempo accuately even when there are complex rhythms. Itโ€™s rock solid and works well in a practice room, rehearsal, and on stage!

I highly recommend it!!!

Doesnโ€™t work unless you set target tempo.

I just wanted an app to tell me the bpm. Paid 5 bucks and immediately deleted.

Not ideal for DJs

Hi Alex,

this is a super beautiful you provide. As a Vinyl DJ, I need the first two digits to show up in program. I do think it not hard to implement. Maybe you could implement a switch to change between integer and double numbers with two digits. DJs will love it!!!!

Best

Not as useful as expected

Considering this is a paid for app, rather than free to evaluate etc, this is disappointing. Basically it doesnโ€™t work or at least it isnโ€™t precise enough to measure rapid beats. Even a fairly simple case of physically tapping the microphone to detect a tempo and then doubling this rate results in total confusion in the app - even reporting a slower tempo. I appreciate the effort but it needs more work before charging people for it.

Timing fรผr Schlagzeuger

Incredible App with SP404MKII ETC!

After years of tapping to determine BPM using hardware and apps, I never understood why it seemed so difficult to find the BPM of a sample or song. My Korg KP3 did a good job, but now that hardware music devices have audio and MIDI over USB-C, this app is a must-have for me. I've never written a review of an app before, but I tried several other BPM apps which still required me to tap for BPM or only showed popular music BPM.

This app is perfect for use with new samplers and any app where your loop needs to be perfect. Unless you're only producing dance music that hovers around 120 BPM or whatever and you donโ€™t change the original beat in samples, you need a simple app like this. I use old vintage analog live 'standards' samples or obscure things for sound design, and while it will fluctuate, the app includes an option to use a different algorithm, each of which works slightly differently. It's fun to watch the BPM needle move along and draw out the beat as a fluctuating line on a heart monitor.

I just got this the other day, and I was amazed when I opened the app on my iPad Pro M2, plugged in my SP404 Mk2 to a daisy-chained third hub with USB-C, and instantly saw the BPM of everything I was doing while the music was playing via monitors or headphones! I didnโ€™t believe it was working, so I tried different samples, and it matched right away.

It may need more features to thrill others, but itโ€™s great as it is. I have a couple of requests at the end.

I've been quickly fixing samples that I thought were good by ear, but the app synced them perfectly. I'm on a steep learning curve with two new hardware samplers, every decent iPad app (2000+), and I just got the SP404 and recently a Polyend tracker, plus the new Zoom R4 4-track recorder and the new Minifreak I got last year. I am overwhelmed, but I'm an artist with ADHD who is also obsessed with sound design since I first heard Kraftwerk on reel-to-reel in high school!

Great for keeping you and the band honest.

I like to use this app during band practice. I set the bpm for the song weโ€™re about to play and keep a casual eye on it to make sure weโ€™re not getting carried away. I have a pretty fat pocket, but that doesnโ€™t mean the other guys donโ€™t want to run off with the tempo. So I can glance over periodically and check that weโ€™re still within 5 or so
BPM of where we should be. I can also check the graph after the fact and see where we wobble a bit and where we lock in, etc. Good tool. I havenโ€™t used it in a performance, but probably will.

Nice app with one major pain

I would give this app 5 stars if it would just have a mode like the app liveBPM where it just detects your playing. I try to use this in a band setting but there isnโ€™t time to tap in a target tempo between most songs.
