About

BedderJet is a native iOS controller for the BedJet V3 climate system. It talks to your BedJet one of two ways: directly over Bluetooth LE when you're in range, or through a Home Assistant instance you already run, using the BedderJet Home Assistant integration. This app does not work standalone out of the box. You need one of the following: • A BedJet V3 within Bluetooth range of your iPhone, or • A self-hosted Home Assistant instance with the BedderJet HA integration installed, plus its URL and a long-lived access token (entered in Settings) Don't have either yet? Open Settings and pick "Try Demo" to explore the full dashboard — climate dial, presets, and the biorhythm editor — with a simulated BedJet. No hardware or account required. WHAT IT DOES • Full climate dashboard — temperature, fan speed, mode, and timers • Dual-bed support with custom bed names • Presets for quick temperature/fan combinations • Biorhythm editor — build a timeline of temperature changes across the night. Save it locally to run from your phone, or, on the Home Assistant backend, upload it as a script that runs entirely on your own HA instance, independent of the app and your phone's connectivity • BLE explorer for inspecting the device's raw characteristics — useful if you're building your own integration TWO BACKENDS, ONE APP • Direct BLE — talks straight to your BedJet's Bluetooth radio. No network involved. BedJet V3 allows only one BLE client at a time, so close the official BedJet app first. • Home Assistant — sends commands to your own HA server over its REST API, using the URL and token you provide in Settings. This is the path to use if you also want to bridge BedJet to HomeKit or Google Home, or if you need more than one client talking to the device. PRIVACY, BY CONSTRUCTION • No analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry SDKs — none, anywhere in the app • No third-party or developer-owned servers. The only network address the app ever contacts is the Home Assistant URL you type in yourself • Your HA access token is stored in the iOS Keychain, not UserDefaults • Bed names, biorhythm sequences, and connection settings are stored locally on-device • Full privacy policy: willsigmon.github.io/bedderjet-privacy BedderJet is built for people who already run Home Assistant, or who want a clean, native, no-account app for direct BLE control of their BedJet — nothing more, nothing less.
